Assuming compatible, do it! It'll be quite the upgrade.

If I didn't need a longer steer tube for it to fit my Karate Monkey, I'd be all over it.

Size medium or large? It'll fit either based on Specialized's website; on the large you'll get one spacer and the stem. Dang the stumpy has a long headtube.

Oh, you'll have tons of room on the medium. You may want to cut it down some even.

I say you should do it, maybe a new crown race since I’m not sure how compatible those are across head tubes but It would be a solid upgrade

Just reread, didn't realize @Gunshot-6A said Performance. I'm out. I'd have picked it up if it were Grip2 but I'll keep my FIT4 Factory for now.

Nothing wrong with that fork at all, you should totally pick it up if you and @Gunshot-6A can make it work. ( and the offset and steerer tube numbers make sense for you) Travel can be changed with the turn of some wrenches.

It would just be a downgrade from the fork that I am currently running.

"Grip" has a single compression circuit adjuster on top, and rebound at the bottom. It's a simpler set of adjustments for people who don't like to fiddle.

"Grip 2" has the same adjustments but independent for "high speed" and "low Speed" aka big landings vs G-outs. Great for the always tinkering suspension types. My new fork has this and it's sorta intimidating to mess with all the settings since I'm less fiddly rider that really liked the simpler Grip.

Fit4 I'm not super familiar with, @disconnected can tell you more about that one.

    Ok got it.

so school me this. Other than 10mm of travel difference, what does the Fox offer over my rockshox? I trust everyone it’s a good upgrade, I mean...it’s offered on the stumpy 2 levels above mine, I just want to learn why it’s an upgrade.

Fit4 is basically in between, HSC and LSC but just one rebound vs having HSR and LSR on the GRIP2.

@stronghammer Ive got the Grip damper on my Single Speed, no complaints. It'll serve you well.
