    What's old, is new again.

I've got a 1990 Haro Impulse Comp with 31.8 stem & hb. Long before it became the standard that it is now. Plus it had a reverse bend near the ends. And elevated chainstays & Biopace c-rings.Full rigid too. They were trying all kinds of stuff.20160807_172356.jpg 20160807_172343.jpg

I've always loved the look of elevated chainstays, like the Alpinestars and Nishiki Aliens ... had forgotten all about the Impulse.

New to the forum and got pretty jealous of some of the bikes in this thread! Really awesome bikes! When I was doing an internship in the Charlotte, NC area I picked up a 2014 GT Karakoram Comp with upgraded Shimano hydraulic brakes. Since then I have added a RaceFace stem, bar and pedals as well as some ODI grips. Its nothing special but I have enjoyed getting into mountain biking on it. When in NC I rode LKN, North Meck, Fisher Farm, etc. Now that I am back in Nashville, TN I ride Lock 4, Cane Ridge, Percy Warner, Long Hunter and Shutes Branch.

I have recently graduated college and I bought a more reliable form of transportation (2017 MGM SR) and want to either upgrade the bike frame I've got or move up to a nicer bike as a whole. I'm thinking if I do a whole new bike I'll do a 27.5, still torn on hard-tail vs. full suspension

Is it at least just the replaceable hanger That's snapped, or did the frame suffer too.

Replaceable hanger, but I found a replacement hanger in a little town close by and went back out the next day and snapped the new one too!

That does suck! That being said those hangers are meant to go fairly easy. That way you bend or brake the hanger and salvage the derailer itself. I actually ride with a spare hanger at all times.

PS - Does this all have to be MTB pics or are we roadie friendly too? ;)

All bikes are welcome. Some of the actual roadie bike riders though... let's just say those guys probably don't buy Tacomas.
