On Saturday from Loveland a shot of the lake looking west. And what it normally looks like from that vantage point.

Nice RR Bannerman. Love your German Shorthair, nothing better than an obedient off leash trail dog. Only those in the know, would know.

Here’s my buddy Bandit who passed at age 15.5 years. He ran the trails with me up until he was a 11 years old. Half Border Collie and half Doberman. Super smart, off leash 20-30 feet ahead of me and always staying on the single track. If I wanted to pass I’d simple say “watch out buddy” and he’d always move off trail to his right and I’d pass. When encountering other trail users he’d trot right on by giving them the right of way. If we’d come upon another dog on leash he’d pass beyond their leash reach and keep right on going, meanwhile the leashed dog most often than not would be yanking the owner down the trail trying to get to unconcerned Bandit.

This is him at 10 years old. Took all I could muster to get him to sit still for this shot. After a 6 mile run I pulled over along a stream so he could go for a swim and get a drink. That lasted about a minute. In this shot he was whining for us to get moving again. LOL

I do morning rides on the weekends, normally, but my work schedule doesn't really allow enough time to get out there and back before start (right now). So, my weekday rides typically go from 1600-1800 (gotta get home to feed the 11 month old (team effort in this house, LOL)). My limit USED to be 105, but I'm thinking it's going to need to be shifted to 103 or maybe a "heat index/feels like" 105. I think the other thing I need to learn is how to regulate better. I think I may have just come out of the gate hard charging even though I knew it was hot af. Maybe a different outcome if I would've gone for a cruise rather than a rip?

Heres my trail dog in training. I started working with her right before covid hit but then the trails got way to busy for a beneficial training environment so we stopped until yesterday. she did pretty well but did get distracted 2-3 times. kept it at 1 mile to keep it positive and to not do too much too soon.

Good long ride today on the big bike. Sure feels good to get out and away from people and busy trailheads.

This air spring shaft came with my Fox fork that was on my old bike I sold. I think it’s the 130mm one the guy before me with the fork switched out and put the 140mm in for. Is there anyway to know which it is? Measure it I assume. Is there anything I can even do with this? Worth anything? Garbage?

Smoke, unfortunately. And I can't/won't say online, it's a bootleg trail. :anonymous:
But if you're ever in the Boulder area...

3rd gen 4Runners are great platforms, depending on your intention.

It may or may not be the best tow rig, depending on tire size, your elevation, and how much elevation change you've got going on. Before mine became a designated wheeler, it was a great vehicle to take up to three others to and from bike parks with a rack full of bikes.

If you plan on going with more than 3 other people, a Tundra may be better for you - I've got to believe throwing 5 people in the truck, plus the bed and a possible rack for bikes has got to be better than a 4 bike rack .

Been having the most annoying creaking while pedaling and narrowed it down to having to be the seat post. Cleaned and lubed it only to find the psi 150 lower than what it calls for. No wonder it’s been a poor performer since day 1 lol.

Awesome! It definitely takes some saddle time to get them to figure things out. All are different though, just keep at it. Nice bike by the way.

    not enough.
Side note. Damn this pandemic and current explosion in interest in biking. Can't get my hands on any parts that I need for my build. Constantly having to plan around things and looking for parts anywhere and everywhere I can. :/
