I’ve been lazy and only emailed vs calling. Haven’t heard back from them yet, but it’s only been a week or so. I didn’t contact them initially as I was letting my LBS kinda drive the sourcing of parts. They were a bit delayed in letting me know they couldn't find any in stock so I lost time there. Took me a week or so to finally find the fox rear roller bearing kit and appropriate front bushing in stock

I could have pressed the hardware out of the air, but I wanted both to be bolt in ready options. I’d like to be able do some back to back ride comparisons with air vs coil.

Nice! I'm not one to really get into guided tours but I'll consider it. I usually do a few days of research and get a ride plan together for new places. Are all tours private or can you just lump a solo rider in with another group?

What is the bulkhead, exactly? I was going to pick up one of these forks and the front rail...not sure what the bulkhead is that I need to flip over. Thanks.

Would you have to drill through the bed to attach the fork mounts to the floor of the bed? Not sure how else you could use the locking function of the fork mount.

I'm trying to come up with the best way to secure my expensive bike to the bed of the truck while I am away for a quick rest stop. I am not interested in getting a cap, and the bike is too big to fit under a tonneau with the front wheel removed.

All I can think of is a locking rocky mount and a chain through the tie downs, but that doesn't really sound secure enough.

We build every ride for individual clients and no two rides are the same so every client/group has a private ride.

Out of curiosity, what is your reservation with being shown local trails?

    Not ski season!

For the most part, we move our nice bikes to the basement from December to April/May. There's usually too much snow on the trails to ride locally throughout the winter. Occasionally we'll go down to the desert in the winter, but mostly I only get on the bike to commute.

About 400 miles, if I’m lucky. Not including tears, pinchflats, holes, etc.
I typically go through a dozen tires a year.

Cool. That makes me less concerned about the tread looking lower. I’ve been slaying the miles lol

Sometimes this thread is quiet, and sometimes this thread is super active. I had over 400 posts to catch up on here haha.

I was studying for an exam, which I passed. I am now a registered nurse in addition to being a paramedic.

left my bike with a Santa Cruz dealer while I studied, and it’s been in the high 90s here so no fun to ride. The shop tore the whole thing down and worked with Santa Cruz, and everything seems to check out. They cannot explain the scratches on my shock, but nothing seems to be wrong with the frame either. Time to add my go pro on the frame pointed at the shock and see if I can figure it out.

Question, why did @stronghammer get banned??

Arguments in the Alabama thread, personally this time I don't think he deserved it, but idk the behind the scenes nor do I make those calls.
Just what was posted for anyone to see I didn't see too much out of line.

    Congrats on the exam!

Kinda weird that the LBS didn’t find anything wrong. Good thing, just odd as clearly something is happening for the shock to have those marks.

Who knows for Scotty. Green room isn’t updated yet. He likes to post....a lot. That opens the door to a wealth of opportunity’s to rub someone the wrong way or possibly violate some code in someone’s eyes.

thank you! It’s been a few years of work but it finally paid off.

Here is the text response from the shopF83BE2FA-5970-4FB4-89E3-D11F25ED7EFD.jpgFA3E4637-408B-4C8C-BB32-3DB591C3D84F.jpg

I do think something is happening too, which is why I’m pulling out the GoPro. I now have the confidence that I won’t have a catastrophic failure while descending at Mach chicken, so that’s a little better than before. But I agree, something is happening. And for the record, I believe the shop that rebuilt my fork left the bottom bracket loose and removed the carbon paste haha. I’m much better than that

Care to share a photo of the shock and the marks? Maybe you already have, sorry. Too lazy to scroll back 43.5 pages.

Looks to me like an untimely rock / object got stuck in there and pinched between the linkage and the reservoir.

Maybe got sent that way by the front tire and landed there just momentarily as you were compressing?

Either that or you’re unintentionally damaging it in transport somehow. Hard to tell without seeing how you carry the bike to / from the trail head.

New Bike Day! Joined the wagon wheelers! And I’ll never go back!!! This thing is fun. Dialing in the Onyx may take some time. This metal color is badass. I was super impressed with how quiet the bike was.
