I just replaced a Giro with the TLD A2 as well and love it. Very comfortable helmet. Also, the visor held up to my crash this weekend without cracking and probably saved a good chunk of my face from damage.

More than enough coverage for a half shell. Don’t have them both here now, but I can check next week.

I miss those days. Got sooo much done around the house.

I could finish my shop if it was still like that.

We had been going in 100% through it all until thanksgiving. Guess they didn’t want everyone coming back after family gatherings so they sent some of us that are 70-80% desk work home until further notice. Probably go back after the new year i would assume.

Y’all that GX derailleur was so easy to adjust. My SX took over an hour to get right, though it was my first time, and this GX took like 3 minutes lol

does that housing go all the way into the chain stay? looks a bit long and kinked to me. could be older derailleurs, but i would get shift issues if the housing was a bit too long. there was some magic number/length you wanted the housing in the back, but these new styles could work with whatever. sounds like you got it shifting pretty well. did you use one of those b limit tools they make for eagle? that red see-through thing?

Yeah the housing goes through. It’s a pretty big loop right there, I followed some video on YouTube about it and it looks real similar. It is shifting well. I have the white b limit tool but yeah I used that too, the best I could, because it’s supposed to be used at sag but I don’t have a good way to get the bike to that to adjust.

I'm looking at the Tectal Race SPIN, as well. Like @E-Paz 732NJ , I'm right in between sizes @58.5 cm and can't decide on the M-L or the XL-XXL. I also don't know whether or not my head is "oval" enough to fit correctly in the POC lids. There are no shops within 100 miles that carry POC helmets, so I can't try them on either. It's kinda frustrating... lol

I think I'm just going to order one of each size and then return one after testing. No other solution really. And then there's the whole availability issue for just about every helmet in my size these days -- including both the Tectal lineup and the TLD A2's... #firstworldproblems

So in my quest to upgrade my suspension I am looking into all options. Including Cane Creek. Their forks and shocks look top notch. I’m all for supporting a smaller company especially one that is on my coast. Any opinion? Thoughts? If I went with them it’d be the Helm MkII and the Kitsuma air

TIL cane creek is a small company. They’re the “”of course you have a cane creek who doesn’t” of the BMX world if my memory isn’t too foggy. At least they were about 10 years ago when I still rode BMX bikes on the daily.

edit after the dude posted below me. They’re good, I wouldn’t hesitate they’re a great company. They might not have those silly lifetime warranties that protect against god farting on your bike otherwise it’s 1 year but. Whatever.

Yea I’ve run Cane Creek suspension front and rear. Top shelf in my opinion and I’ll use there stuff again without hesitation.

They’re easily on par, or better, performance wise with Fox and RS. And are far superior in the QC and customer service dept. The fine tuning capability only found on higher trim level Fox and RS is standard for all Cane Creek suspension products.

If there is a negative to mention about CC it would be that they’re recommended service intervals can be shorter than others (50hrs I think). And that they recommend said servicing be completed by a CC certified suspension tech. Not enough negatives to detour me, but that’s just me.

Yep, certified CC fan boi here :oldglory:

Just picked up Cane Creek DB CS for my carbine.

Haven't had a chance to put many miles on it or dial it in just yet. Tons of adjustability. A quick pedal around the block...was night and day better than my blown out fox.

Easy to do. Let air out of your shock slowly, the negative air spring will suck down the suspension. Let air out till you get to sag point, then use the tool to set the b gap.
Here’s a run down I wrote last year...

I’ve used CC fork and DB inline coil. Both are absolutely too notch. The new Fox stuff is killer though, and is probably the only stuff I’d run (as long as it has the grip2 damper) over CC.

Had a killer ride today. So grateful I can still get some good trails in December.

Did 2 shuttle runs down a trail called Telonics out here in laguna. Kind of terrifying on a 27.5+ hardtail. Wrecked twice.

Stopped for lunch and went down to Ladera Ranch to hit some easy fun stuff to get our mojo/confidence back.

Waterworks (buddy Patrick with the camera on a YT Capra, chasing me in the middle on my specialized fuse 27.5+ And my other buddy on a Kona process leading). Fun short trail with some extra credit features. Usually where I take people starting out.

also ran Rage to Spitfire. Part of the same system.
