Thanks—that sounds good. I thought we also might try to do the Virgin River Rim trail if we feel aggressive, but it’s an hour drive each way and I don’t know if the conditions are ideal this time of year.

Wire Mesa is a blast, but depending on your plans, that could be a fair drive for a day trip.

A couple of firsts. First ride on the new whip and first bike trail for the pup. Kept it short since he’s under a year but he did great with the other bikers, hikers and dogs. Stoked to have a trail dog. Bike pedaled great on the steeps and since it’s my first ride since Sept., I’m sure it will keep getting better. Still need to dial the fork in a bit more but looking forward to it.

Yeah, what the other's have said. Barrel is my top rec for the st george area without knowing your riding style. I just got back from Virgin riding flying monkey and grafton. They're definitely double black/pro so if you aren't comfortable with those ratings, don't attempt them. you also need a shuttle unless you wanna do some shitty climbing. BUT out that direction, wire mesa, gooseberry mesa, guacamole, and JEM are great choices. But on any of the mesas, please do be careful. People have fallen off the sides of the mesa...to their deaths. If you wanna ride something, I highly recommend gooseberry mesa, park as far into it as you can (there's a parking lot on trailforks you can get to) and then go counterclockwise from north rim->gooseberry point->south rim->car. But, up to you! Have fun dude and be safe out there!

As for riding your rzr out there, there's a lot of places, I just don't know too well because I don't go out there with rzr's. I just know there are because there's always people on rzr's and jeeps out there.

Those rear carriers stress me out. I could never put my bikes on one. Always afraid someone
will barrel into the bikes at a stop light.

If someone barrels into you, chances are, your bike isn’t safe unless it’s on the roof of your cab.

You will at least need the cup if referencing Shimano brakes. In my experience just a lever bleed is good enough for 80% of bleeding instances, no syringe

Insurance? I mean, I love my bikes but if someone smashes em I’ll just get new ones. Only downsides to rear trays is ground clearance (which the 1Up barely gives up) and driving in shitty weather means road crud on your bikes (get some disk covers to keep brakes a good, wash the bike when you get where you’re going).

technically kinda yes. you still need the syringe. you thread the syringe on with it having some fluid in it...and then you push the fluid in and then quickly pull the syringe out to pull all the bubbles and air out of the line. you do this a few times. you'll see the bubbles coming in through the hose on the syringe and eventually you'll probably see it slow down. lots of cavitation so don't confuse the cavitating fluid with the air that's actually coming backwards. once you're done, push fluid back in and then unscrew the syringe and call it a day. It works a little bit. but I definitely prefer the full bleed. it's also not that much more effort to do a full bleed.

you're doign the bleed with the guides w/out bleeding edge, right? I can't think of anything else to get your brakes to feel great...other than getting bleeding edge brakes. :/ sorry man.

I had sram's on my last bike and never bothered even trying to bleed them myself based on what i've heard from everyone else's experience. That and the kit to do it is a bit spendy.
Shimano's are so much easier with the little cup you just thread onto the lever and push it all up from the caliper with the syringe.
