DOH! That sucks! I haven't seen anything on that subject. Do you happen to have a good source for what you're referring to? Please and thank you!

Glad to hear you're keeping busy, but that's never been a problem for you.
Same shit, different story here man. Wifey's preggos, moving to SLC, new job, new house... And teaching during the pandemic year nearly made me rethink my calling.
Riding's been ok, but I just threw my back out a week or so ago moving shit, and haven't been pedaling in a hot minute. Need to get back out there as soon as my back doesn't feel broken.

I actually run the smaller one because I can fit a CO2 cartridge in my ass-pack. I really like the pump and EDC tool though. Both are super high quality.

    Gah! Reflectors. :duh:

Kidders, congrats! Hope you two get some great pedaling in together.

Congrats on the preggo and new house... hopefully with a big enough back yard for a pump track for the kiddo (gotta start 'em young!) I hear quite a few stories about people pivoting their careers right now, so you're not alone. Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life...

damn... ok, it sounds like the changes are/were necessary. While it sucks to have fewer places to camp, and the libertarian in me hates most regulation and limitations, I definitely understand what kind of damage the old system was causing -- especially after everyone discovered or rediscovered the outdoors during the pandemic. Such is life.

    Thanks for the info!

    Battle of the hardtails...

Who has experience and could compare/contrast a Kona Honzo ST to a Santa Cruz Chameleon?

I fully acknowledge this is an apples to oranges comparison when looking at frame material alone.

I’ve had both a Chameleon and a Kona Explosif which was basically a 27.5 Honzo. I want to say the Kona rode a small bit better.

Both rode awesome and you can’t really go wrong with either.

The paint on the Explosif also started to crinkle for a lack of a better word, and I’ve seen it on other steel frames.

the truck. i've had this bike since 2017. so much easier with the hitch rack vs a seasucker on a coupe.

sweet!!! Got my SR5 new in Feb, but hhave been biking since the 70's.

I have always had the 1UP USA hitch rack, (previously on my RAV4) and it was the second bet investment in my bikes after my Surly Krampus!

Can't wait to see the mods start to accrue..I am slowly building mine up to be my mountain biking/camping headquarters!

    Happy truck!!!!
