I don’t do anything prior to riding, just go easy during the first 5-10 minutes to spin and get my legs loose. But, I do add in yoga style stretching after every ride and on non-ride days do this routine at night. I’ve seen the benefits of this now that I’ve been consistent over the year. I found a few videos on YouTube specific to biking and now do about 30 minutes worth.

And TheraGun (cheaper Amazon knock off) for the days I’m really sore. That helps quite a bit as well.

I'm in my fifties, and totally understand about not wanting to get injured. I will soft pedal for about ten minutes, then a quick 5 minute stretch to loosen everything up, especially my known spots (lower back and hamstrings).
I've been doing the Peloton workouts off the bike too to strengthen up everything as well, feels good and I feel much stronger just doing 20 minute workouts a few mornings a week.

Something extra you won't buy yourself. Like a derailleur alignment tool, digital air gauge, or the new Santa Cruz air valves

"Thanks for asking boss. It was a really nice and relaxed weekend. I got fucked up and ran power tools in the woods all day. Please don't drug test me"

That's basically the point. The pants don't interfere with the chain so you can still pedal all day. The material is almost like an athletic/techfit/under armour shirt but thicker

I understand the point but are they uncomfortably form fitting for a person that doesn’t wear slim pants lol

Anyone have some spd's they want to sell, I want to give them a try.

May need to message @Bannerman on instagram and see if he still has his bike or want to sell his pedals.

Hello fellow Canyon Rider! I've got a CF7 that I picked up back in July. Where you riding? Looks vastly different than the trails around my parts in KY!

St. George? That looks an awful lot like the back way into Bloomington Hills.

Samesies. Some light stretches while putting on my shoes.
I try to let my body tell me what to do. If it’s feeling strong I get at it, if not I just chill.
Yoga is a must though. I like Abi15. Short and specific work.
Totally agree with walking though. Get in those steps, climb stairs, keep active.

This was taken in Hurricane Utah across from Quail Creek reservoir. I live in Prescott and do most of our riding up here. I love my Canyon, great deal on these bikes.

    Nice. This trail, maybe?

I grew up in SG, but left long before southern Utah became an MTB mecca and they opened up all of these awesome trails.

Sounds like I gotta get back home with my new whip, and check it all out!
