so thing is, it came with a scratch. I’m not too worried about it, but did take a pic and sent to WAO and said they may want to wrap a bit better.

That’s infuriating! At least someone else did it for you. You’d be super mad at yourself if you did that.

Turns out my Kuat rack was a bit too small, wheelbase wise, for the Spire. It was fine bringing the bike home from across town, but wouldn’t trust it other than that. Ended up buying a 1Up super duty thanks to all of you. It delivered today and it’s beefy. The Kuat is a fine rack, but this thing is amazing!

Yeah that sucks! I’d be livid if I dropped $9k on a bike and it came scratched! Hopefully they take care of it.

it wouldn’t surprise me if they sent a new rocker and asked I send this one back, but of not I won’t make too big of a stink about it.

looking at the scratch I think it happened during assembly since the bolt isn’t damaged.

If it makes you feel any better, when I bought my Pivot it also came with a nice piece of missing paint on the seat tube. Kinda like a rock chip. It was a good size but I got a $50 credit and that was good enough for me since I knew that wouldnt be the last lol. Road bike and I might've felt differently but not on the mtb

That’s one of my dream rigs right there! Such a rad bike, story, build, and people. Way to go man, that’s supporting the right thing right there.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed they release an all-out enduro rig. And for Pete’s sake, FRAME ONLY!
I’m already getting antsy, looking around. That bike just look so good, and had nothing but glowing reviews.

They don’t plan on releasing new triangles if I understand correctly from a podcast I listened to about the bike. Just different linkages for front to rear triangle.

I’m itching to ride it, but who knows if I’ll get to this weekend. We’re in line of those tri-state tornados or whatever. However it’s Sunny where I’m at right now.

but thanks I’ll definitely report back on impressions, but I haven’t been a bike since mid September.

so installing the wheels and “Da Package” there’s no reason to not use their products if they’re so close In line to other carbon options. The bar and stem are stupid light.

They shouldn’t need to. Geo isn’t too far off enduro, just want a bit more travel (fork and linkage), and longer reach (size up), taller stack would be nice (add spacers or taller bars).

You could easily add a 38 170mm. You may be able to squeeze 5 more MM out of the rear without new linkages before tire issues arise. It’s at 152 factory. Getting close to 160 would do it.

If you listen to a few of their old podcasts one of the bikes designers has been riding the arrival at park with a fox 40. Idk if he’s rocking stock linkages or not though. Finding any info about the dudes set up is impossible other than small tid bits.

I feel as if my biggest accomplishment today was not catching a cramp.

I’m not in shape enough to give good review or comparisons yet, however I will say even though this thing has a low BB at 338, I never had a pedal strike.

It’s also very long 1246MM wheelbase and 475MM reach, but it felt very agile, maybe that can be contributed to I requested a 35MM bar rise and stem length, maybe it can be attributed to first time on a carbon wheelset. The bike never tried to carry the front wheel on steep climbs.

I will admit I took it easy, one bc I didn’t want my lack of endurance to cause me to wreck and just lack of endurance. Also another thing, I have to look into switching these brakes around. I run front on right side and rears on left side, similar to a dirt bike.

Nice ride and nice looking bike. Getting cold up here in the north, the fat bikes are waiting in the garage for snow. What was the temp on your ride?

Best thing about this bike, no overly stated brand name. No “sick bike” from everyone that saw me on the trail.

Temp sounds nice, only a little cooler up here today. I don't know about the sick bike problem, as I haven't had a sick bike since 1991 ;)

Wanna trade for your KNOT order? I can refund you. You can just use the same pouch and send the TLD back to me?

Good on you man. Not just talking about it but being about it. I spent way too much money on boots recently because my focus was American made
