Also, check event calendars for the places you want to go. Nothing like driving 2000+ miles and the park is closed, there's a contest and half the mountain is roped off or there's a marathon and the entire trail system is closed for the one day you're planning on being there.

I have planned a similar trip for August (Let's hope the border stays open!). I'm staying in Whistler for 9 days, Bellingham for 5 days and then meeting up with the family in Lake Wilderness, WA for another 6 days. I'm a big fan of staying in one place and enjoying it.

Bought a trailer off of GovDeals.com this afternoon. Very easy transaction. Bid/pay online and pick up at the local city surplus lot. Anyways, it's got great bones for $200. First picture is current and the last picture is the goal. New flat bed and use it as a raft trailer then add picket sides/toolbox for other trailer stuff

 

My cycling group and I just got back from a tour of the Florida Keys. We started in Key Largo and rode to Key West, and then back to Key Largo. We averaged about 50 miles a day and camped overnight in a state park and a campground. We did the ride on our gravel bikes and mostly stayed on the greenways. Highly recommended ride! This is a pic of us on the 7 mile bridge.

 

That looks awesome! I've heard mixed review about riding in the Keys... did you have a good shoulder the whole way like I see in your first photo, or were there times you had to ride in traffic?

 

For the most part we had good shoulder or greenway.

I have a flatbed trailer that's technically a tilt trailer. WAs gonna use it for like a camper build but eventually it just got used more as a moving trailer. hah! helped move a few friends and family with it. Paid like 300 for it.

 

Hell the current deck is made up of 2 x 10 lumber so basically I'm in the green already

Gearing up to give my buddy’s loaner gravel bike back — and I added a Salsa HD cage and a beverage to try to inspire him to go bikepacking with me. I wanted to strap on a plastic 2L bottle of beer, but apparently only Canada has such a thing?!
