Surprisingly not terrible. I guess these workouts 3 times a week for the past month or two have helped. Given I haven’t been that consistent with workouts since like May 2018.
Plus all this drip at the parking lot

Thanks all for the advice. I ordered some rim tape. Will give taping them myself a shot and try the tube trick.

If all else fails I can just put the tubes in and leave them.

I feel your pain, I seem to have spent a lot of time recently wrestling with nasty tires, rim tape, and cleaning old sealant out of, well, everywhere. It doesn’t help that I have used my kids old sparkles/glitter as “platelets” in the sealant, that much more of a mess. I have found gorilla tape to work well on older and non tubeless-ready rims but cutting to the correct width is crucial. I would also recommend not using a citrus sealant (Sealz I think) as it seemed to react with the tape adhesive and failed quickly.
Tubeless is tricky. I’ll get two or three bikes set up and have no trouble for a year, then sidewalls will start to weep, so I add sealant. Frequent burps in hard turns, so I add sealant and increase pressure. Valve stem buggered and leaks-pull valve stem and remove dried sealant or replace valve stem-add sealant.
That reminds me, I need more Stans.

Usually the damn things start running down the trail when they see you. I wasted 30 minutes once hoping the damn thing would get off the trail, covered hundreds of yards.

Most of us here are in the same boat, no worries. Spring legs and lungs.
I love the ebike for early season riding. Gets my skills dialed back in while allowing me to get back into biking shape slowly. It's super nice getting to the top quickly to get more DH time. Plus wrestling around big heavy bike then riding your 30lb bike makes it feel like a featherweight.

THe 1Up holds my ebike great. But I think most quality racks can accommodate up to 50lbs. Just check the load ratings.

I was using Stans and had the sidewall weepage. Went with Orange Seal for this year and have yet to have that happen. My buddy put me onto it when I mentioned how weird it was that my Maxxis sidewalls would weep sealant - his did the same thing until switching to orange sealant. Purely anecdotal at this point, but figured it'd throw it out there.

I use only Stan’s, and over the last seven years have had mostly Maxxis tires on my and my wife’s bikes, never any significant sidewall or tread seepage. Purely anecdotal too Seriously, for us it seems very random, maybe weather? And in any case, very slight and seldom.

8 weeks after full achilles reconstruction and I'm on a stationary bike.

Hoping to be back on Peloton in a week or two.

    MTB by June? Maybe?

So mine wasn't due to an achilles tear, but it's the same surgery.

    Cliff notes:

Shattered right ankle (also ruptured my spleen on same fall) snowboarding 7/8 years ago. Healed fine, took a few months.

2 years ago started feeling tightness in foot/ankle. Classic Plantar Fascia issue or Achilles Tendinosis. Treated typically with Physical Therapy, other methods for a year.

Not getting any better, saw 3 surgeons, they all said my case wasn't severe enough to warranty surgery. Maybe I wasn't as honest with them about the pain as I should have been.

A year ago I went non invasive route, did stem cells ($7k out of pocket) because I heard "traditional" Achilles surgery was terrible to recover from. Stem cell procedure was a shit show, just as bad pain wise as any other joint surgery (I've had 3 ACL's done on the same leg). 3 months after Stem Cell surgery I still didn't have relief. Saw another FIVE doctors. YES 5. I had developed a severe bone spur from my snowboarding fracture that was growing directly into the Achilles. Called a Haglund's Deformity. It must have still been small prior to the stem cells as nobody else saw it. Only one doctor out of the 5 suggested surgery. Everyone else said more physical therapy. The one doctor who suggested surgery does 3-4 of these per months. Best Ankle Surgeon in Charlotte. I cross referenced as many physical therapists as I could.

Had surgery, 8 weeks ago, all my pain from the injury is gone. I just have surgery BS to recover from. I had my achilles scraped of all the diseased tissue, I had the bone spur sawed off (they have to remove the achilles to get to the bone spur which is why this surgery is described as being very rough), and I had plantar fascia surgery to release any issues on the bottom of my foot. Two wicked scars, but barely any pain. Now that I'm weight bearing, there is some pain but very minimal considering.

Its worth it if you dont plan on keeping it a long time or want to keep it nice. My SJ is wrapped, but my chameleon and levo are just going to get beat to shit. :)

Bought it used and it already has some touch up done. Not worried about keeping it perfect, but thinking it is worth covering a bit of it. Looking for recs on DIY tape I guess. Probably not worth the effort to full ride wrap.

I've used invisiframe, ridewrap tailored and ridewrap covered/essential.

Theres also just 3m clear film you can buy alot cheaper and cut to size.

I’ve had good experience with RideWrap and Invisiframe. Haven’t used any of the DIY style cut to shape kits.

That Evil kit or the essentials one from RideWrap would be my choice. But again I haven’t taken the time to look at other more DIY, and likely cheaper options.

    https://www.ridewrap.ca/products/covered-frame-protection-kit-cs/

My rear traingle is pretty beat on the non-drive side. Would be a lot worse if I didn’t have any frame protection.

Fork has seen its far share of abuse too. Sad thing is I have an unused fork protection kit just sitting in a shop. Maybe I should attempt to be a better rider rather than trivializing the bike/build I’m riding :notsure:
