Wasn’t supposed to rain, at least not this early. I make it to the tippy top for the descent and bottom falls out. Well I wasn’t gonna hit fire road down after all that work. Had a blast. Push Trail and DH mode we’re both used and both do great.

@backcountryj i think you were asking, 155mm cranks still using 32t chainring and could not tell much difference. Any disadvantages in torque would be completely negated by being able to pedal through some rock gardens.

Made money off the first one and second one came with a free ElevenSix lol. Just had to wait 5 months for it, seriously 5 months to date.

I still got the X2 that comes on the bike, but going to sell it brand new take off. Probably going to have an XO1 Rear derailleur and shifter for sale soon, as well as a PNW dropper. Maybe some other things, just have to see.

    Awesome!

Dude you crack me up, squeezing a nickel out of a penny all the time! I'm not too cheap to do it, but just too lazy.

    Gotta make that bread…..
Oh, and forgot, I broke my finger same day I sold the old Arrival. It all worked out, but I still don’t have full mobility of finger.

@TenBeers I completely agree- I have a Thule T2 Classic that I've been abusing the last few years, and hope I can "accidentally" irreparably harm it and justify my own 1-upUSA purchase, so I can be one of the cool kids too.

....But the man did ask for off-road rack suggestions

Does your bike have in frame storage? That could be the only thing I can think of that would contact the middle of the crank spindle like that

I don’t mind spending the cash if it makes sense. With a four door long bed that is driven hard off road I figured I would be paying more. And I like it sits high. That is a awesome rack wish it was a dual bike. Surprised they don’t make both options.

The Rig'd stuff is overpriced imo. I would be curious to know what their profit margins are.

Also, you're supposed to access the hitch tensioning mechanism from the back of the receiver? that seems like it would be problematic on most setups where you can't get to the back of the receiver hole...

My 1up has been through almost 5 years with quite a bit of dirt roads and 4 bikes. It's still in great shape and you can replace individual parts if they break/wear out.

The only other rack I've seen that seems to be built as robustly is Alta Racks. I know that they test the heck out of their racks off-road.

Uhh, Ben looks like a young guy to me, but I agree he can ride. His result was pretty good for a journo. And I like his skills videos.

Agree, seems significantly overpriced. I have yet to have a concern over any terrain with the 1UP, the design provides a decent departure angle all things considered, especially the single version which seems most directly comparable. Maybe 1UP should add a rotopax mount and call it overland approved.

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
Not seized and not a clue. Just pulled it apart and noticed that.

Not a hole, just a strange wear pattern. Don't understand how that could happen in only one spot unless something was out of round.

No, and I wouldn't think that cause a problem regardless. :notsure:

I'll take it apart again when I have more time and investigate further to see if anything sticks out to me.
