I bought Revant lenses to replace some scratched lenses on my Oakley Frogskins. Ended up putting the scratched lenses back in. I'm not super particular about lenses but the clarity on the Revants was very poor.

The $20 Oakley knock off sunglasses I have from Aliexpress are far better.

I like my Oakley sutros but they don't really provide as much protection as I'd like. A bee flew in between my helmet and glasses and got stuck then stung me right on the cheek bone. They do look cool though.

My favorites are Roka's right now, they just fit me super well and there are always strava challenges with $50 off or 20% off. I think they are having a sale right now too.

Not particularly, but I'll have an easier time getting a good deal on 100% through my LBS. I had a pair of Smith Pivlocks years ago and liked them but ended up braking them. I had a bad crash from some Oakley Half Jackets when I first started riding, they slid down while going down a chunky decent and blocked my line of sight. So now its no glasses, or frameless/large lense styles.

I’m really picking about sunglasses and maybe have a weird shaped head. For me a lot of sport glasses interfere with the Roc Loc or whatever helmet tightening device. I also don’t like glasses that slip or move around.

I have had really good luck with:
Cheap - goodr (they have good lenses and no slip pads)

Expensive - Roka (best quality lens and best non slip pads)
Oakley Jawbreaker (Good lens, very adjustable)

Anyone ride Glorietta down near Santa Fe? Transition just posted a sick trail that Nate Hills helped design? Either way I'm heading down there for Thanksgiving. Sounds like I should take my bike with me.

I spent a summer there back in like 2008 I wanna say. Rode some of the local offerings at the time. I’m gonna assume that what I rode was not what is being featured haha.

I have yet to ride Glorieta but saw the same video. That trail looks great!!! There are quite a few trails in that system from what Ive read about and heard from some friends. I don’t know how long the season goes for Glorieta, just watch the weather as that area is higher in elevation and can get snow. We’ve already had some snowfall at the lower elevation, but the 10-day outlook is dry right now.

My good buddy grew up in Santa Fe. It sounds like there's some good trails but it's not amazing riding, so worth bringing the bike if it's easy to do. With that said, Santa Fe and that general area are pretty high elevation so might wanna keep an eye out for snow.

Anyone see an issue with running a Shimano XT caliper on the SRAM HS2 rotors?

The rotors are 2.0mm thick whereas Shimano rotors are normally 1.7 or 1.8 I think. Hoping there’s enough ‘wiggle room’ to work without fitment issues.

I've put TRP 2.3 mm rotors on Magura calipers that are only usually use 2.0mm.. you're fine.

my asian face doesn't like a lot of sunglasses. The Melon Optics brand, although about mid-high priced are pretty damn good for me.

not sure. maybe check the caliper spec? there should be a max width specified, right? if not, i don't know if there would be a problem. the only thing that would be more difficult is probably centering the rotor.
