    Different option from the OneUp... I have this lezyne and have used it to fill a few people's tires without issue. I mostly picked it cause it's really small, has a mini-hose, and I already had the OneUp tool in my steerer tube.

    I'll take your Shotgun Pro seat for cheaaappp! I have the old shotgun seat and would like something that doesn't touch my frame, plus our second is now getting big enough that we may want to ride with two kids!

    A few.
    I ride a full synthetic flat in the winter, currently have Giro Riddance which is similar to a 5.10 Freerider Pro. I go up about 1/2 size for room which helps for warmth. Summer shoes are 5.10 Freerider’s. I run Pedaling Innovations Catalyst pedals year round on both MTB’s since I made the swap from clipless.
    Still run XTR 9100’s and Scott shoes on my gravel bike, but they make my bad knee hurt.

    Who has experience with "enduro style" (150mm+ fork travel) hardtails?

    I've got a fairly long history with hardtails of every frame material (except Ti I guess), with most being all around trail hardtails built with 130mm travel forks and reasonable geometry. I have a Knolly Tyaughton steel inbound as an experiment (thank you 30% off sale) - and even though there are details about the bike that I already don't care for, it was a good "inexpensive" jump into this category.

    No experience but I want exactly what you're describing. Hardtail with a 150-160mm fork would be a lot of fun on my local trails.

    Go metal this time around? I broke some Wah-Wahs fairly quickly and won't let that happen again

    In my opinion they are awesome. If you're riding hard/fast they can be a handful but that's why people like them - definitely not smooth. Your experience may vary and depends on how spoiled you are with full suspension. Also feels badass passing enduro e-bikebros with full armor on a descent wearing a half shell and jorts

    Wait... are you saying jorts are a requirement for a hardtail with an extended fork? If so, I may need to rethink the life choices leading me to wanting a hard tail :anonymous:

    2023 Zeb for cheapish. I sold the $550 Fox 36 I bought from Jenson for this same price on Pinkbike.

    I'm not sure what code it was, I just used honey and it found the code for brandscycle.com

    Might be selling my medium Revel Rascal frame+shock soon. Just putting it out there in case anyone is interested. Not sure on price yet.

    I'm likely ordering the new Transition Smuggler frame if/when it's announced, so the Rascal will have to go.

    If those are the resin pads just throw them in the garbage. I had absolute shite luck with Shimanos resins, now I only run the sintered but I still find myself sanding pads every few rides since they corrode from just sitting.

    I'm seriously considering dumping the XTRs for the Hope v4.

    I typically run resin on one side and metallic on the other side. Mine wasn't corroded, they were contaminated by mineral oil and it's super easy to just burn that off and get back to full power. How does yours corrode? I've never had that happen before and I have bikes that sometimes sits for months and months before getting ridden.

    I have run the combo like that before. The corrosion is a probably PNW thing. The d02s pads will get a green crust on them over a week of sitting.

    I have a Ti hardtail with a 140mm Pike. It's not quite "enduro", but maybe "burly trail" syle. I personally think my hardtail is as slack and rowdy as I'd care to go for a hardtail (~66 HTA). It's slack enough to get down just about anything steep and I'm more limited by the lack of suspension than anything else as far as speed goes. A big part of the benefit of the hardtail to me is also efficiency, which starts to go out the window when a bike gets super slack.

    All that said, it's a bike. As long as it has two wheels then there's no wrong ways to do it!

    I had an On One 456 evo2 with 150mm-ish 36 on it. It was around 65HTA with a super short rear end. Still to the day one of the most fun bikes I ever had. That frame came alive as soon as you pointed it downhill, and it cornered like nothing else. I sold it to some older gent who wanted to ride with his kid, he hit me up a few weeks later singing accolades. I wish we had more suitable trails for hardtails here, I'd definitely get something else, has to be steel or ti though.

    Nice. I've got two hardtails built around 130mm Pike chassis - one belt drive SS and one geared. They are both closer to your HTA, just a hair steeper - I want to see how "sendy" I feel like I can get on a hardtail. This build won't be focused on all-around trail use and lighter builds like my other two, as I'm going with big rubber, a Cushcore in the rear, and a just generally burly setup. If I like the slacker geo and extra travel, I can always back off in the component spec a bit.

    Sweet - the Knolly I have coming is sitting at a 64.5 HTA. A bit steeper than I *think* I would like given this bike will really only be for hitting steep descents, and since it is a hardtail, the HTA is only getting steeper as the fork goes through its travel. I'm a fan of most anything but aluminum (except for the cost vs. weight benefits - they are totally fine but other materials hold greater benefits IMO) as everything else has ride quality, weight, and/or stiffness benefits.
