    So I did a thing!
I couldn't resist the 25% off. I've been wanting this bike for a couple years and finally had the opportunity to make it work.
I ended up getting the core 4 version in an XL and this thing rips(granted I've only done my local xc trail), but it climbs very well and the descents are like being on a rail. And kept up with my buddy on his Blur.
The biggest issue I'm having is not a fan of the sram drivetrain.

Oh man. Mine is delivering on Wednesday. A large Core 4 AXS in blue. Can. Not. Wait. Got a few Fruita trips lined up next month to break it in. I ride SRAM AXS on my gravel bike and it works for me.

I had seen the cornering video before, all made sense. I hadn't seen the jumping video though, it was a good tutorial. I watched the GMBN one for drops last year and I liked it for the same reason that Loam Ranger one is great, they keep it simple! I'll try his technique and see how it goes this riding season. Thanks for posting them up. I still don't forsee myself loving steep lipped jumps, but hopefully I can get more comfortable going over them.

I wanted that blue so bad, but already ordered when they announced that color.
Only got 1 real trail ride so far but what a difference vs my Bronson.
I really am preferring the 130 travel over 150/160.
It feels more engaging on the trail and less point and plush over everything.
And I know there are plenty of tire (snobs isn't the right word) but I can't think of what it would be, the Forecaster was a perfect blend of grip and speed on the loose rocky/ muddy trail.
I wil switch the rear fir a little L e faster rolling 1, but just have a spare front.

Send it up, I'll keep it safe for you, which keeps you safe from your wife. I'll even run it every once in a while, keep things loose, no charge or storage fees even

Good for you supporting those guys accordingly. Repairing should always be the first resort (for anything) and disregarding only as a last resort, but you all have put them on my radar if I ever decide to buy new shit

I have used that one before and was not happy with it - the plastic retainer piece broke on two separate occasions (luckily it came with a few back ups). I have since moved to the one that pushes the unit forward over the stem and it both lets me angle the unit to see better, as well as keeps the whole mount out of the way of me knees for when I invariably hit a tree and bonk the unit.

Glad I could help. They've been bombproof for me. Just don't over-tighten it when installing as someone mentioned earlier, it is Chinesium after all

What would you say a fair asking price is to list my 2021 Ripmo AF Deore? RideWrap was put on before i rode it and its almost scratch-less besides the brake line cable rub on the crown of the Fork. Im seeing people listing them at all types of prices.

got out for a mountain bike ride yesterday. just the normal route i do by my house, that ive done maybe 100 times.

the flat part i gassed, chasing some older guys, and PR'd that segment. paused for about 10-20 seconds to sip some water, and went up the climb. paused at the top for 30-40 seconds for more water. these segments was in my top 3.

then the descent came and i definitely slowed down for few muddy/ice spots in tree shade. these times were about a 30-60 seconds slower than the majority of last years rides.

this was on my patrol also, not my xc bike.

im attributing the flatter parts and climbs to all the trainer rides i've been doing. really not too much, maybe 3 hours a week, but it seems like its working?

my arms were getting sore by the time i got to the parking lot. this was maybe 10 minutes of descending total too.

so what do i do to get my arms more ready for summer riding other than ride more? just focus on upper body in workouts like body weight stuff? i don't go to the gym, but maybe i need to start?

anyone got any recommendations, either books, youtube channels, websites, for cycling upper body stuff?

ive watched some of those pinkbike videos with remy and ares. guess the only thing is to do it?

Push-ups, burpees and plank variations. Some of the best body weight exercises you can do for upper body without any equipment. Add in some pull-ups if possible.

Yes there are gobs of other things you can do, but for straight up no equipment/body weight upper body focused movements, those are hard to beat.

OK fine, but Benny's is like a one block detour off the drillfield.
