Got my Rockymount installed in the side bed rail this week. My Speed Concept fits like a glove sideways. Decided this was the best way to mount with my MX4 BakFlip Tonneau. Keeps everything nice and secure.Bike in back farther away.jpg

Off topic but how did you mount your CB antenna? I was originally wanting to mount mine up there but thought my tonneau (Bak Revolver, same as yours?) would hit it rolled up

No problem with the revolver. I pulled the front top rail, popped the cap off, used a Dremel to cut the plastic piece out of the way, drilled and put two bolts through to the hollow inside and secured to lock washers and nuts. I then ran a ground cable down to the frame area. A picture, or two, is worth a thousand words. See pics. 79F3A5E4-C844-4EA0-9A92-4D62FD26A18C.jpgB9E01DB9-4227-449C-B2BC-48E554D9B9AF.jpg

Anyone just lay their bike in the back? I have a road bike that fits in awkwardly if you turn the front tire. Just wondering how people transport their bike without disassembling a wheel or having a mounting system. Is it bad to just lay it in? Strap down?

:annoyed::frusty::censored: Where were you with this setup like a month or 2 ago?!?!? Most likely would have done that spot instead off the tailgate like I have now since it was my oringal goal but I couldn't figure how to make it fit....Must resist the urge to redo it... Great setup though

Can we get this moved to the off topic discussions somehow? Because half of us are not 3rd gens.

I was just asking the guy a quick question about his CB setup. Yes it could have been done through a PM but, it was faster to ask it through the quote and felt more natural. Here is my contribution back to the bike conversation to bring us back on topic

Nembafest at Kingdom Trails:)drool::drool::drool:) over the weekend. There were some awesome Tacos there that I couldn't help but gawk at. Didn't end up with many pictures since I didn't use my phone other than tracking.

Looks like a loss in faith about their building skills to abandon such a fine tent structure! Honestly though, the title says bikes and tacos...I don't think some off topic stuff is against the law here. I got a second gen, but I always appreciate seeing mods regardless of the generation...sometimes the mods are transferable amongst the gens anyway.

I was talking about the whole thread in general. It was posted in the 3rd gen forum but it should have been posted in the off topic discussions/misc

You'll love the trails up there. So many good options; haven't tried Burke yet but always tempted.

How do you like the diamondback cover? I've been looking at the SE for a variety of scenarios, including just having a hard secure cover, but also as an option for a RTT. Only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger has been the price :(
