interesting haha, I've definitely taken some chunks out of the aluminum but never broke the actual clip. I think one issue if I remember correctly with Time is that the springs are connected so if you strike on one side it can mess with the other, I could be off though...

I guess that also shows why more data is needed haha

My Crank Bro Mallets have been pretty resilient vs rock strikes. My flats I prefer in techy stuff, but have found that the rocks have only made my aptly named Deity Bladerunners even sharper than they already are. :sawzall:

Absolutely a must-ride. Get up there soon as you can because there is a good chance some of those features will be dialed-down in a few months. There's some big shit. The trails were originally built on private land so they could get away with gnarly features. The opening delays were partially attributed to the City nearly refusing the liability

I ran SPDs for years and could never get the retention tight enough to prevent accidental releases; tried the different cleats too. I also much prefer the platform on the Times over anything Shimano offers.

The other side of the Times work just fine still, so I had no issues riding these out. I did order new ones though.

I'd be down, it'd be nice to do a weekend there since they have several other places to ride that I've heard about.
    if you didn't see they're having a sale https://www.biketiresdirect.com/pro...RmJdnwH1i-Z4tvcrp1GmABv-WCbJ_j3xoCZoYQAvD_BwE

Never trust anyone who gives you time as a measure of climbing! Give me elevation and distance and I'll work out the rest on my own

I’ve been riding Time ATAC carbon titanium pedals for 22 years. Best pedals out there. In that time frame I’ve never broke one and only bought another pair because of age. I’m on my 3rd set with my old used ones still useable as spares just in case. Very pricey pedals but worth it.

That's one hell of a price for that build!!! I could almost get away with it but I think that would be a bit big for me at 6' especially since I tend to prefer a smaller bike.

Go for it. You could almost buy the bike take what you want off of it and resell it.

All fun and games until you hit a place with techy climbs. I got burned by a trail that was only 2xx feet to the mile but all rocky step-ups and roots.

I did compare the geo to my large Offering and felt it's just too much extra bike.

Stripping it for parts could actually be a cool idea, but I don't have time for that kind of shenanigans. On that note, gonna go squeeze in a ride before a weekend of single Dad'ing.

    Ahab definitely fits this description
