Had a killer time up in Santa Cruz these last few days. Conditions were awesome from the rock and dust im used to further south. Definitely coming back up sometime soon. Tweaking with the suspension is always fun as well, getting it closer to how I like it.

We hit up Quarry Park in El Granada yesterday morning for a quick little ride before we came back south to ride in SC which are the first two pictures.

Last weekend of Tsali campground before closing for winter. Great weather, great trails and a great weekend.

Not the biggest jump but with my shoulder in limbo I’ll take it.

Lake is down. Got on some Halloween theme trails I don’t get to ride too often.

Went to the dark side and got this “entry level” enduro e-mtb from GASGAS, their G Enduro 1.0
    IMG_2011.jpg

The setup with the HR Sport Rider bike rack that replaces the Yakima Dr. Tray due to the heavier weight of the e-mtb. Waiting for the 1UP RackAttach swing out to get delivered later today.

Tried it out on some trails in Simi Valley. First time riding in that part of the area on the north side of the freeway. Last time, I only rode a trail called Side Action with my coworker and on the Marin mtb.

Yes, I'm one of those weirdos that like to pickup reptiles (if non-venomous and non-aggressive) on the trail.

Really don’t see as many snakes at Blankets/Rope as I would think given the proximity to the lake and rodents running around. Always thought it was weird.

Tsali is a fun loop. I remember finishing up a ride and I felt like I was in the twilight zone, it was like every trail path started repeating itself. Climb, descend, pedal out by the lake, turn into the hills, climb, descend, pedal out by lake, turn into the hills.

Agree. It is a little monotonous after a bit. The fall colors help but I’m not heading there to ride unless camping. Too many better riding spots near there but not many better for a camping weekend.

I've seen Copperheads, Racers, Ringnecks and Rat Snakes quite a bit. But I think it's because I'm always looking for them.

A decent spot back in the day that surprised me was Uwharrie. Not exactly a big destination trip for mountain biking but the camping was excellent. Almost 20 years since I’ve been so my info is probably stale.

So much fun, you can pretty much go as fast as you dare. I was riding my Meta 29 mullet, definitely more work than an enduro but it tracks great. You want to be riding something that won't get kicked off line easily with all the small chunder.

Not too high maybe 800-1000ft from the base at that point. There are some long runs around here in general though. :bikewhoops:

Wore this in honor of Halloween.

Single Speed Time Trial Night Race for 1 lap of our local trail. First few years was only open to S/S bikes. But as the event grew, it got opened up to geared class & a Ladies class too.

Unfortunately we haven't had it in a few years.

Edit: Pardon the pet hair, haha
