Love my AXS Derailleur and I think you’d be hard pressed to find one more durable. Mine is broke, tons of battle scars, and keeps shifting great.

when I say broke I mean I hit it hard enough at some point to break it where circled.

You'll be digging out pieces of mud from crevices on your bike and your body that you didn't know you had. Riding in mud like that makes you feel like a kid again though.

This thing way outperformed what I expected out of a 120 bike, I'm sure a lot of that is thanks to the Push. Had a lot of fun on Ahab, Mag 7, and the raptor route.

First trail ride since I smashed my face in and broke my wrist last summer. Was cleared to ride early winter, but life. Felt good to be back out there. The little one enjoyed it too!

Oh yea about this.. I'm a belieber!

I did my 38 and my buddies 40 before our ride. Just dropped the lowers , burnished , and reassembled. No setting changes otherwise, both are newer forks so they weren't particularly crusty or anything. I had also previously done the air spring service on both out of the box as I always do. Post burnishing for both of us the forks were the best they had ever been. Next I'm going to check my 36. As I said before that fork has been pretty good so I'm curious as to if it will be as tight as these others were. If you're getting your fork serviced I highly recommend having them check the bushings.

What’s everyone’s opinion on Alchemy and Lauf? Looking for a sweet gravel ride. I’m actually pretty impressed with the Poseidon, it just survived an almost 60 mile gravel grind ‘race’ last weekend, but it’s not meant for this type of use. I was looking at Alchemy’s Lycos and the Lauf Seigla keeps popping up. Anyone have good/bad reviews on either bike?

Going with bike 1.2022 Firebird with the greenish gray pearly finish and the orange lowers on the Fox 38. The extra atlas wheel has cush core pro also. His wridewrap/3m job is done super neatly. Used to manage a shop out in Colorado now he's just a service tech. the X2 in the rear is 2024 never ridden, and the 38 factory front hasn't even hit the first service interval yet. Plus some nice race face carbon bars with an Orange race face stem with matching orange accent race face grips. Still giving me the stock carbon bars & stem too. Race Face Carbon cranks. The x01 drivetrain looks untouched since its from a different bike that he took the x01 off for transmission almost instantly. Bearings and seals looked absolutely spotless on the facetime call.

Pretty stoked. Should be here in the next 2-3 weeks. Plenty of time before Tahoe dries out for me to get acclimated to the bike and fine tune it for the big rides. Just need to motivate myself to go ride the boring shit here in town to get those legs back :/ Or keep with it on the stationary at the gym since I'll watch hockey while I ride the stationary and that makes time fly.

I’ve never ridden a lauf but they have a warehouse like 1.5 hours from me here in Virginia. I need to see what’s up with them haha

I thought they were a Chinese based company then saw Lauf, VA and started actually reading about them. I saw a few at the ride I did last weekend also, sharp looking bikes (I’d get the rigid fork, not the goofy one).

They are legit, their fork is super interesting. If I were to get one I’d also get the rigid fork but I’d consider them. I’m not sure if they do demos at the warehouse but it may be worth it

Here's my TR from a few years back.

    https://www.mtbr.com/threads/trip-report-riding-in-florida-feb-2017.1066048/#post-13483997

I rode Carter Rd/Loyce Harp, Alafia, Balm Boyette, and Santos in Ocala and liked them pretty much in that order. Also rode Hillsborough (boring/flat xc).

Some smaller systems I rode were Chuck Lennon, Graham Swamp, Mt Dora, Spruce Creek again in that order. I wouldn't go out of your way to ride these ones but if you're passing by the first 3 are worth checking out.

There was enough in these networks to make them interesting for sure. They do a pretty good job making use of the terrain and minimal elevation. I'd ride Loyce Harp, Alafia, Balm Boyette again for sure.

I'm going down to Miami in May, need to see how feasible it would be to swing by a few of these and what's available local to the Miami / Ft. Lauderdale area.
