I reran it in 2 boxes and the price is down to $205, just gotta make sure the frame fits. The spire is so big haha. One box is still $250 even when I ran the large bikeflights box instead of XL. I’ll probably go the 2 box bike flights route
Yeah I checked and a frame in 2022 was $80 from Texas to VA. Prices are definitely up a bit.
I don’t have the option since I’m on customer site in DC. The mail office is on my floor and it specifically says no personal shipping haha

    SPIRE.

    OH.

I thought you said SPARE, as in a spare wheel.

Haha I can see where it could be confused haha. I’m sure a spare wheel would be relatively cheap haha. It’s a large spire too, barely fits in the basement without blocking a doorway haha

The two box thing made me the most confused.

I've found our internal UPS portal to not be much cheaper for the stuff I would ship, maybe something requiring a dock.
I checked a few sites and pirateship and paypal shipping were actually the same exact cost, I'm assuming they both use the same multiplier when relaying prices to customers from UPS, FEDEX, USPS.
For small USPS packages sendle is my go to site.

A frame would've been cheaper, this box of mine weighed nearly 50lbs.

I don't mind the channel at all, I enjoy throwing my bike around and leaning in the turns. The TC might be what I'm looking for in a front tire, just have to wait for the radial casing. The MM is still holding up well, and I'm still not riding on trails yet (double knee surgery two weeks ago), so it might be a while.
It is funny how weird other casings feel after spending time on the radials. They're either wooden and stiff, or squirmy and vague.
