Does anyone have either a Thule or Yakima hitch mounted rack that doesn't interfere with the tailgate. I figure the swing away models will be fine but more interested in the tilt racks.
    Thanks

Yeah they are pretty hush hush about their process. The engineers at GG have history in carbon race car parts manufacturing so probably a similar process. I think it's pretty interesting that they powder coat their carbon, haven't seen that before. Getting an american made "boutique" bike with similar build spec in the same price range as a brand S or T is what attracted me.

As @backcountryj found out the Thule xt pro may or may not clear the tailgate depending on the truck haha. It clears mine but didn’t clear his. Not sure if other have had clearance issues

Riding a 2018 Alititude C70. I just recently modified the rear hub and purchased a new rear shock (DPX2). Those two upgrades have been worth their weight in gold. The rear hub that comes OEM is the DT Swiss 370 and it is durable but it lacks the engagement that I have become accustomed to. If anyone is interested in doing the conversion I have the specifics.

I sold my ‘07ish Slayer SXC and have regretted it every time I go gravity riding. Loved that bike, they (Rocky Mt.) just have little or no representation local to me. That Thunderbolt looks awesome!

This one is the 19 Instinct BC Edition. Longer travel and slacker geometry on 29er's. Its a monster truck

Man I know. Yesterday's happened on the Year Round stepdown steps, I boosted the hell out of them at the top and landed directly in the middle lol. I also blame the shitty nature of OEM tires being thin AF

Same here and all three of us ride the same trails. I think his goal when picking lines is to bash his sidewall on rocks as much as possible.

I hear that. I ride like a hack too... Last month I flatted 4 times. The last two were brand spankin new tires, 30 miles, pinched and done. They were the exo+ with Cushcore lite. I upped it to the DD w/Cushcore and haven't had an issue (yet).
Some people like to pick lines, avoid the nasty stuff, I tend to just go through it. Sometimes land on it, on purpose. Luckily my carbon hoops have help up just fine.
Sure, I can up the pressure. But then grip sucks, and the tires are all skittery.
If you don't care about weight and pushing those anchors up, go for the burly setup. Though I don't know many who've had issues with DD+CC.

wow, nice write up. BIG THANKS.

I think I might try a trail 2.5" assegai front. currently on high roller2's EXO Maxxterra 2.3" front and rear(came with the bike) and I'm wanting a bit more grip in the front for dry+loose. not sure I need the extra sidewall protection(or even an insert) as I haven't had a flat in years knock on wood. guess im not charging hard enough, nor do I get to do true DH regularly. also looked into the WTB linup, maybe vigilante front trailboss rear. no mm's for me as its mostly dry here, used to run butchers on an xc bike but that's a whole other story

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Rolling out to get me 3 maybe 4 street tacos! Yeah playas

Ended up with a High Roller 2 with Double Down casing. It's always nice mounting DH tires tubeless, they're so easy!

Does anyone insure their bikes? Or do you guys just plan to file under your homeowners insurance should something happen to your bike/s?
