I overhear too much to wear baggies in the summer. And I feel like they get caught up on everything. Especially with my fanny pack haha

As I recall, the 2nd gen TRD OR wheels are 16x7 with 4.5 backspace so it's a mix of the 2.

A lot of people around here are putting the 3g tires on 2nd gen tacos and 3rd gen 4 runners. You could prob offload them.

Dynatrac ProRock 60 Rear Axle, that is important enough.
Snagged these off the REI Used Gear site for $50, Pearl Izumi X-Alp Flows in a 47 EU, got them today and tried them on, fit is perfect for my size 13US foot... good arch support, grippy on the bottom and nice and flat. Going to pair well with the new Chester Pedals I ordered as well...

Even though they were "used" the only thing that shows any sign of being used is the bottom of the shoe, almost like this was purchased worn once, and then returned.

How do you crazy kids ride anything with flat pedals?? I rented a bike while on vacation a few days ago, and since I didn't have my SPD shoes with me, I stuck with flats. I couldnt keep my feet on the pedals through anything other than really mild terrain. the second my wheel came off the ground, my feet slipped around the pedals, or came off completely.

Is there a technique to this that I'm not aware of?

Good shoes and pedals really. Preferably something with metal pins. I had some plastic pedals and metal pins and they were solid with my tevas...too bad they stopped making mountain bike shoes

I have gotten to this point after only riding clips for a short period. I rode my bike unclipped for a little bit of trail the other day and thought for sure I was coming off of it.

Flats 4 life dude! I ride raceface Atlas pedals with vans and never have any issues on climbs or jumps or anything like that. I feel the opposite, I dont see how yall ride clipped in! I come from motocross and have never ridden a road bike in my life. All i had were BMX bikes with shitty plastic pedals growing up, or a KX250 2 stroke. That had tiny pegs and I had some alpinestars boots that gripped like 1/8 as much as the vans on the flats lol!

That being said, I found a screaming deal on some crankbrothers stamp 11s and am thinking about selling my raceface atlas pedals to get them. Lifes tough choices

The flats I was using had pins in them... but still. I was not comfortable riding techy terrain with them.

I came from clips (spd) for over 10 years. 5 years ago, a buddy converted to flats and convinced me to try, but he said I had to commit for a season. There's a reason people say that riding flats teaches you technique. I was just like you, getting bounced off, couldn't bunny hop with them, jumping felt weird, just felt unconnected.
Then, you start to learn. Pumping into turns, finding pops and transitions, staying loose on the bars push on the pedals, proper bunny hops, pumping transitions on jumps. No doubt, I got better, understood how my bike reacts to terrain, learned to use suspension better. I become the pilot, not the passenger.
Give flats a go, for a full season. Then, if you want to, go back to clips and be a better rider. I absolutely promise that.

Don't do it. Stamps are not as grippy as Atlas. They're bigger, but Atlas are some of the absolute grippiest. The Spank Ooozy are awesome too, with the DMR Vaults being the absolute meanest flat around. They're just thick.
