Their carbon chameleon frames and bikes are ~13% off though

Anyone trying to surprise their significant other with a dope full suspension? Word on the street is the half-carbon rear stays make their panties fall off

Size small frame and girly colors with Push-tuned Fox suspension and XT drivetrain. $850 free shipping

Hot damn. This whole time I thought the bronze colorway for the chameleon was only available on the carbon frame.

It was originally. Now carbon is bronze or black, and al should be all 4 colors. Once stock of the existing colors is depleted, I expect SC to consolidate the colorways a bit.

I like the bronze but only with the turquoise Hopetech parts. Since I have Hopetech gear in purple ano, I was out on a swap until the frame was available in a different color, and black is about ideal.

    I hadn’t either until I checked out backcountry.com

The Santa Cruz website still reads as if the AL is only available in orange or blue. And that carbon is only available is bronze or black (which is accurate).

LBS got my dropper hose fiasco sorted. Went ahead and had them cut and install my new helm.

They thought it’d be funny to toss on a pink top cap, knowing I wouldn’t care. I think I’ll leave it on for a while, why not :notsure:

Hope to get an initial shake down ride tomorrow during lunch.

    Yeah buddy! Looking pimptastic.
You’re going to love that Helm. Small tip, start with the damper set up full soft on compression. It’s an aggressive damper, just ramp it up as you ride to get your preference.
I’d trim that post hose down quite a bit though. Ziptie the shifter and rear brake cables together in a couple places also (one a few inches away from controls, one a few inches away from the frame ports). Once the dropper hose is cut down Ziptie it to the front brake hose. Makes for a quiet ride.

On that note, I always ride large. I’m 6’1” and often wonder how an xl would suit me.

    Thanks for the pro tip!

Will do on tidying up the cables. Bleed kit is on order, which will likely be required after trimming the hose??

Depends on frame geo, but try the big bike sometime.

I am 6’3” but its all torso length, so I went large for the standover and seat tube measurements for most of my past bikes. Now since so many bikes have sloping top tubes and accommodations for dropper posts, it has opened xl size bikes back up to me, and the extra length is killer. Still no hope for road bike or cyclocross frames for me, but I can now play in the margins between L and XL frames and its great.

I prefer electrical tape personally...or if you’re really OCD then I’ve seen some people use heat shrink

My only issue with tape is the sticky residue that’s left behind if/when you have to service stuff. Heatshrink is the bomb, but again, a pain when you service stuff.

Shouldn’t need to. Remove the remote, unthread then collar, pull (or unscrew) the collar and barb off the hose, measure and cut the hose with a good hose cutter, keep it upright to keep fluid from coming out, reinsert barb, rethread collar, done. Plenty of online tutorials too.

Man I am late to the party. I had a 24 hr duty shift on Sunday and sat up all night googling chameleons. I tried to price out everything separately through different sites and I still can’t beat the price of the chameleon C S build by enough to not just buy it built. So funny everyone here is wanting the same thing or has it.
