I had a personal policy my entire bike riding life that a trail bell should be no more than about $10 since its just a silly bell. Guess thats now shot to hell.

Better than having someone "whistle". Had that happen to me once. I was more annoyed about the whistle than anything else. what's wrong with saying, "rider rear. when you got time"??

Honestly, sometimes a whistle cuts through the noise better than a few words. Unless you're doing like 2 miles an hour on a climb, then that guy's just an asshat.

Yeah....not my best moment. All the local shops have a Spurcycle bell display on the counter and the tone is pretty great, but the price is pretty sour. I have balked at the cost since they were released. But then insert “limited edition” + even more $$, but is in a matchy matchy color, and I was weak.

Yeah, I hear ya. I couldn’t pass one up either. I have a silver spur cycle, and it sounds lovely. I’ve actually had many hikers and riders comment how nice it was. Seriously.
