I've been using it in phoenix with good success. It helped me to put it on the night before rather than immediately before a ride. What also has been helping oddly enough is less frequent lubings. I used to do it before each ride, but every other or 3rd has been working well for me.

Funny because I've been using an old unused can of Remington gun oil to lube my chain just to get rid of it. I like it better than most of the other stuff I've tried

thanks! i am in SL too.. your welcome to take a look at my setup if you want some ideas

with the RTT in place, i slide both the road bike and MTB under the tonneau cover to transport them. with the tailgate lock, they're locked and out of sight. started life on MTBs, then switched to road bikes for a while, did MS150 etc and now back to MTBs. have ridden the road bike only once since getting the new MTB in october!

i don't normally leave the RTT in place but it has been lately just because its a PITA to install/remove. also, my truck does not fit in the garage at work with it installed and just barely even without...so another major reason not to leave it installed

I’ve been working on a bottle of Dumonde Tech Original for quite some time. Can’t say I’ve been unhappy with it. Seems to last quite a while between uses, but I haven’t tried much else to compare.

Please, we all know that only singlespeeders have discipline specific lube made of a 50/50 mix of patchouli oil and fair trade espresso mixed into a base solution of the tears of us mere mortal riders.

I thought the beard oil was in the fatbike lube along with some brandy?

And here I thought the beard oil was to replace chamois butter.

oh, hello neighbor! I’m thinking about getting voodoo bars that only go about 4” above the tonneau cover or a full 10” height rack (I think it’s taller if you opt for the tonneau brackets) I also park in a garage at work and the clearance says 7’ it’s really holding me back from wanting to add height. I’m installing a roof rack this weekend plus a rifle style case to the top so I’ll probably swing by work Saturday to make sure I can navigate around with no issues lol. Could you send me up close pics of how you mounted it? I see tepui has security nuts to make theft slightly more difficult, but I feel uneasy about a 1500 tent hanging out all the time. It certainly turns heads and has people curious.
What kind of MTB did you pick up? I hear the trails in sugarland are pretty sweet near the water tower.

honestly i want to get something that mounts the tent lower down, it creates sooo much drag the way it is now, on the drive to SPI i got 11 mpg in windy conditions

i'll grab some pics tomorrow while i'm at HF. all it is honestly is some nylon locking nuts on a bracket, nothing to stop anyone from taking it, apart from what a PITA it is and how long it takes to remove

i went with a giant trance 2, my LBS guy hooked me up with a good deal..and it matches the truck:D

sugar land is alright, if i just have a little time i stay local, otherwise memorial is badass and if your willing to travel further there are more trails
