Yeah I thought it was odd the mid south kept it going but croatan canceled. I saw that one of my local shops still made the trip down and did some riding.

hopefully events this summer and into the fall can go on. It’s kind of like everything is on pause cause we don’t know enough right now. I’ll just keep riding and hope for the best!

Congrats buddy. Riding bikes is one of the last good thing left to do. I consider having a bike a necessity. Honestly, I know it sound ridiculous, but if I don't get some time on the bike I'll lose my shit...

Dude, not cool. Don't take advantage of that policy. I love REI's return policy, but use it for what it's intended for. If you have a product that doesn't work, return it. But to use it for a year, then return it, just isn't right.

Smart option, I bought a brand new bike right before the bottom fell out on the economy.

Anyone wanna trade a roll of TP for a large frame Specialized?

My combined dividend from REI for the past three years is about $1,000. So I’m not abusing their policy at all. I’ve maybe returned two things ever. But the goal of the policy is to make sure you are completely happy with the purchase and I have a year to do so.

I think within a few days there will be more bikes in our household than rolls of TP. And that’s not because either of us is getting a new bike.

I hate to say it, but there may be deals out there. Either people selling bikes because they need cash or manufacturers/shops offering discounts because they need the sales.

I know these are hard times for everyone, and things will undoubtedly get worse before they get better. But for anyone that can, please support your local small businesses. Whether it be online purchasing, or pickup only food at the mom/pop restaurants.

Shameless plug for a small business owned by friends of mine that are really struggling already. And their future is in jeopardy.

Went for a ride today ... stayed on fire roads as I though it would be difficult to maintain social distancing on singletrack. Surfaces were still rough enough from winter for some fun. Was surprised to see a Ranger on an ATV in the State Park and a city cop on a dual sport on a dirt shortcut in town. I sometimes ride those places 2x a week and have NEVER seen that before. Weather was perfect, flowers are out, but unfortunately the trails were very busy, riders and walkers, and it’s still a weekday. But glad folks are getting out and not just staring at screens. 54C1B700-ADE2-470D-B2A6-DE3AE5AD670A.jpg

That looks like a fun ride. I don't ride my SS much anymore but I do still have a steel hardtail that gets used fairly often.084DD7B6-D9F5-4E37-A131-9A4797AEFFEC.jpg
