    Sorry, internet hard. I was agreeing with you saying that what works in CO might not work locally for you all.

    Joking aside. I do value the opinion of everyone, that’s why I asked. But yes, certain tires/compounds will have regional pros/cons.

    :thumbsup: :fistbump::cheers::drunk:

    Re-reading my post, it wasn't exactly clear!

    @backcountryj I'm running DHF 2.6/Aggressor 2.5 on my bike. It's a lot of tire, but I've been real happy with it on the downs and don't feel like it's too much of a tax for the up.

    On a related note, I blew the side wall on my aggressor this weekend. I was probably running the pressure too low and caught a square edge coming off a 2 ft drop.

    For a friend, getting opinions, thanks in advance.

    Top 3 full suspension bikes for you if you have 2k to spend.

    and go.

    You gotta give us more than that. 29'er, 27.5? XC, Trail, Enduro, FullSend?

    haha ok I'll try my best.

    I have a Specialized Stumpjumper 29er and another buddy has a Kona Process 153. We are who he will be riding most often with, so I'm going to say stick to a trail bike.

    He likes the 29er that mine is, and he wants a good "all around" that maybe he could upgrade fork/brakes/drivetrain later if needed. So good frame/geometry and ability to be upgraded is key.

    I agree, but we're kinda thinking less so maybe a 1500-1800 bike with less than phenomenal components that can be changed out. he was giving a "max" of 2k.

    Can't go wrong with much these days other than buying something with the wrong geometry for him.

    haha I'm the dick that took him mountain biking last week. he usually trail runs.

    I put him on my PHENOMENAL old GT Aggressor Pro from Dick's for the trails and he had a blast, then I let him ride my stumpjumper in the parking lot lol.

    he's the kind that goes ALL IN when he gets into a sport...

    literally the first time he's ever biked and he's like "hey 2k what would you buy?" hahaha.

    I would agree on the Jeffsy, or look for used on Pinkbike.
