Hahaha executives love their analogies and metaphors. I’ve heard some pretty great ones in meetings.

When I was demoing bikes a few years ago, I preferred the ride of the Hightower over the Hightower LT. The LT felt like a newborn giraffe to me.

Just ordered new pedals and knee sleeves and now I’m looking at replacing my clipless shoes as well.

I need to hurry up and get a new frame so I can get back to just riding rather than thinking of other stuff to convince my wallet I ‘need.’

But have you ever witnessed your far-too-casual IT guy in a meeting with plant management flippantly utter the phrase 'Data Bukkake" when asked to provide some system outputs

I have tears of laughter in my eyes just remembering it.

130, I really like it. It's a great do-all bike. Pedals great and still rips when I get up to Pisgah. It's on @backcountryj shortlist too, maybe he will pull the trigger one day....

Yeah the 130 was the one i was really looking at, i hear fantastic things about them, handles climbs like a champ? I miss Pisgah and that whole area I worked 2 years outside of Charlotte in a little town called Cherryville as a geologist, loved that whole area wish I was into MTB back then!

Haha that it is my friend. A 130 or a V4 TB will likely be in the garage soon. Got some things in the works...if it all falls apart I’ll still be snagging someone’s sloppy seconds or a leftover smuggler.

We are from Raleigh area originally and I rode a little bit about ten years ago, but when we moved to Charlotte 3 years ago and I realized how many good trails are here plus so close to WNC I got back into MTB and never looked back.

If I just rode Charlotte, I would probably be on a SB100 or similar short travel, modern geo, 29'er. But we have a house in Asheville too so I ride Pisgah/Dupont about 2 weekends a month(pre-Covid19). So the 130 eats it all up.

Just need to get back on a bike. Right now I picture you sitting alone in a dark garage, slowly clicking those new I9 pawls on the wheelset that has no bike to go with it.
