Not particularly. Brian head was a total bonfire for a while, but nothing much since then.

I was gonna try to come up to MT, but I like s'mores, not BEING s'mores...

Next spring / summer, I'll pay you in beer to be my Montana mtb guide for a weekend. The fires ruined my plans for this year...

Did a short (didn't feel short) seven miles today pulling an extra ~85 lbs. Actually been doing this a lot this summer it's just that I had a friend along as a witness for the first time and therefore able to get a picture of my getup in motion with her filling my usual role as pack mule.

Both bikes are mine, she's been borrowing the copper singlespeed for the last couple of months to see if it was worth adding some variety to her large but fairly homogeneous stable of bikes. I got to take it back home today making for a nice poser shot opportunity.

I'll ask. Is it a huge kick in the dick to get the bikes on top of the shell like that? I have them mounted on top of the tonneau now and even that gets cumbersome at times.

I don't mind the effort of getting them up there, but I still don't like them up there. I'm worried I'll forget about them and rip a bike off the roof in a garage or a drive through or something (I've done it before, see attached). I'm a big fan of the hitch rack, but the hitch rack I have interferes with the tailgate. I really need to get around to replacing it...

This is brutal... I've never been a fan of the roof top set up. I never even put this in my concern category. Now i will never go this route haha!

My wife gave me so much shit after this happened, then a year later she did the same thing in the same car. Didn't destroy glass though...

I bought a road cone just to place in front of the garage door because I would have done the same. Seems like everyone knows at least one person with roof damage either from a bike strike, or more commonly a dropped bike. A friend dropped a bike on his roof with under 1,000 miles on his car; had to see the damage everyday to remind him of it.

Yeah, almost every person I regularly rode with at the time came forward with their similar stories of driving into a garage with bikes on the roof. I didn't damage the bike thankfully but that stupid glass roof set me (or my insurance rather) back a fair chunk.

    DAMN THAT SUX!
I have rocky mounts in the bed . I have to take the front wheel off, but it only takes a minute. the hitch racks are nice, but I worry about some rear ending me and destroying the bikes and the truck.

Boom, bike shop informed me the Santa Cruz parts are all in stock, and the bike will be done next week; been waiting since early April.

I celebrated by flying over the handlebars this afternoon onto my shoulder. Several hours in the ER to find out its a grade 3 shoulder separation, and consultation with a specialist next week. Michigan biking season over

That's rough man. I went OTB today on the Sundance downhill after running over a marmot full bore...which was an unusual experience. Thankfully no majorly injuries.

When you heal up, you can gladly come visit Utah. South UT is pretty amazing riding weather in fall/winter/early spring.

Bent a roof rail and destroyed a Yakima roof rack driving mine into a garage. Bike was ok though. Was a constant reminder looking at the roof rail. Love having a tailgate pad.
