yeah. I've seen both of those bikes and they would definitely be on my short list as well. I'm getting a hookup on a certain new bike so as soon as my Capra sells, I'll be getting a new one. Meta TR and sentinel are both phenomenal bikes. Capra is as well. but I think the Capra is more downhill oriented than the others.

I would think it is definitely more downhill oriented than the TR. The AM may be a different story but technically the TR is a trail bike. And the Sentinel I don't know a ton about other than the geometry and travel seems like a sweet spot for awesome downhill without being a burden to climb.

If we can get the SW ride going, Ill let you ride my Sentinel for a bit since god knows you cant find a demo anywhere.

Its amazing on the ups for as savage as it gets on the downs. The rear 140 def punches above its weight too

side note. the handup long pants are amazing riding pants. Very durable, Very comfortable. I thought I would snag the bottom cuff on the chainring but that never happened. And I thought my knees would get stuck as I pedalled...That never happened. For the price, they're hard to beat! I'm definitely a convert!

Somewhat related: Throw out some recomendations on budget friendly riding shorts. Getting tired of running shorts/athletic shorts. I'm committed enough now.

I just stalked Evo.com's clearances until i found a size and brand that I liked. I got some TLD's and Dakine's for really cheap that way. I definitely prefer my Dakine's though. I also have a pair of the handup shorts but don't have a ride on them so couldn't tell yah.

    https://www.evo.com/shop/bike/bike-clothing/bike-shorts

mess with the filters. Get the Gender and size. I put in both the waist size and the s/m/l size as a filter and it works like a charm. Then I start browsing and looking at the prices. I've found most my shorts for <50$ that way.

And now I remember why I don't have any yet. This hobby is pricy... Thanks for info though I'll keep an eye on it but hard for me to justify $40 for some shorts when that could go toward a new bike or Gas money for the Southwest meetup that totally needs to happen.

Finding good shorts is always a challenge. My Pearl Izumi stuff has lasted the longest but they arent my favorite.

I had a new pair of Fox Rangers and the chamois came apart after 3-4 months.

Latest set was Handup Shorts with Black Bibs liner. The shorts are good so far, and I think I could have gone a size smaller on the liner.

Meh, I've been riding for years and just use hiking shorts primarily. With that being said I also don't wear chamois so your experience may vary

I am only kidding - so many people love that show but I cannot hardly stand it. It's the fake studio laughs that kill me
