This is in my big hydration pack which I’ve mostly been using for hiking recently. A Sam splint fits in my pack as well, which I believe is still in my pack haha. I don’t carry much first aid wise on shorter rides though. 56C49F54-D9EB-4747-A2BA-246BF1096472.jpg

Yeah, I wont carry it on my normal rides and havent carried any first aid on our previous NC trips. But I can easily fit a CAT and SAM splint, and some of our rides are going to be semi remote so idk.

I’d consider putting in some ibuprofen and Benadryl.

Good points, I definitely have both of those in my truck first aid kit, I should probably make sure they aren’t expired though haha

Gonna upgrade tailgate pads. Pretty excited.

found one of these bad boys local, so it’ll be full size for my tundra and have straps and the spacing pads.

First time out riding in the snow and it was such an amazing time. The 2.6 Vittoria Agarro and worn out 2.5 DHF held their own. There’s a guy at this state park that has a snowmobile kinda thing that packs down the snow for hikers and riders. I actually ran across him on the trails. Even helped him get un-stuck.

Best part of my ride: getting “talked to” by an old hag and her miserable husband because my bike wasn’t good enough and was “ruining the trails”. Long and behold she’s riding a Yeti fat bike. Some people really think the trails are all for them..

Go with the sensus bachelor pad for your tundra. I wish the Tacoma sized one had all the features the full size one has

Manual trainer in the middle, work stand on back, and just bike storage on the sides.

got to get out again today for a snow ride!! I love it. We don't get legit winter like this very much, so gotta squeeze out all the time I can get

    sno3.jpg sno2.jpg

we were supposed to get 4-8" of more snow, but in typical Central Ohio fashion, it is just coming down as rain (lame) to melt away all the lovely white stuff in this pic...grrr

So I've realized I'm not a mountain biker. AZ just doesn't have the kind of terrain I'm comfortable riding around in. Respect for those that do!

Anyways, I have a Haro Flightline Comp from 2009 that I've put thousands of miles on. It's pretty basic, but it served me well as a commuter and exercise machine for years. However I'm realizing that maybe a gravel bike might be more suited to my riding needs.

The point of this post, though, is me wondering if I should just upgrade the Haro with a solid carbon fork and a few other things, or just go with a new bike altogether (looking at a Marin DSX 2).

What would I be getting myself into if I wanted to upgrade to a 1x drivetrain on the Haro as well?

To those of you who have ridden the hog trails in Sedona: What's your preferred order? Last time I was up there I rode them but I see tons of people doing a different loop with same trails. Saw a Loam Ranger vid and the order he rode seemed great. Of course not much commentary on which trail he was on when, and didn't show all the splits. but curious what order yall rode the hog trails.
