    not enough.
I went to the south side of Utah Lake. But I'll be at EaMo today. Plenty of dry trails there.

did some mudding today on the local yokel trails...snow melt has the river up way high, and we were riding through feet of water in some points...lots of natural "trail maintenance" will be happening this spring....we lost almost a quarter mile of these systems last year to the river eroding banks away...had to blaze new trails in the early summer. Have been riding and blazing these trails since the 70's on BMX...

the trail that was not soupy - in the higher parts of the run - were actually in really good shape.

the trail runs through this little dip normally...a.bout 3 feet of water to get through
    mud4.jpg

    mud5.jpg

thiss is the area that we call "The Swamp'...even in dry parts of the year, there is still some water retention. Soupy trail into the distance
    mud1.jpg

that tree came down last spring, and we built a log over across it...last week, the water was up around it, and I can't beleive it survived
    mud2.jpg

yes...the trail is in there somewhere...we did not ride across that though b/c who knows what the river left underneath all of that. Prpbably 4-5 feet at the deepest. There were a series of man/kid made dirt jumps under all of that...probably not any more
    mud3.jpg

this where we ride when the sanctioned trails are closed, because they probably look just like this

mud riding is my 2nd most favorite kind behind snow riding

Swapped on a new XO1 derailure then went for a ride. Waiting for my 220mm rotors to come in and then I'll order new wheels/tires and cranks:D

Went out today with a couple buds, thought conditions would be decent with whats been going on weather wise but noooo. It was horrible, thick sloppy peanut butter mud. Me, like an ass took my new bike for a shake down ride, and not even 2 miles in I realized that my new bike sucks equally as bad as my old bike in these conditions, lol.

Probably won't ride it again until mid April...

I want to ride today but my bike has a cracked frame and Giant wont get me the new part for who knows how long. It is really hot here in phoenix today though. Feels like temp is 86 outside and there is NO wind today. Might borrow a friends bike for some mid week rides when it gets down to 60's again. I'm not ready to be riding in near 90 degree weather yet...

I think what I'm going to do for my bike situation is limp along my Aluminum frame Trance 2 until I can get a new Carbon 150/140 29er. I don't really see much point in upgrading a 27.5 trail bike with already somewhat outdated geo. Reason I think this route is the way to go is because a friend has an older mach 6 carbon from 2017 I believe and they've converted to 12 speed and slapped a new fork on front of it and It feels tons better than my Trance 2 that's been maintained and serviced well. Carbon + higher quality fork means his 17 feels better than my 19 aluminum frame. Then again, that bike was 6k+ new and mine was 3 ish

Didn’t know you were a Utahn. Look for a pm.

Dry? For reals? Shit, I thought snow in the front yard mean snow on trails.

Took a weekend road trip to Zion/Virgin this weekend. Damn perfect weather.
