I use U locks...through the wheel, and around the arms that grip the wheels...

7 years of doing so and have never had a problem.

Been on vacations, even around town, and never really worry. The way I see it, someone who knows what they are looking for is going to have the right tools to get it. Around here, most people are stealing bikes as impulse or opportunity crimes. I would say that in MTB hotspots, you would want to be way more vigilant as the thieves probably are looking for specific targets

I haven’t owned a bike in about 15 years but I’ve been wanting to start mountain biking again because my son is of age now where all he wants to do is ride. He just got a new bike last week so I snagged a display bike for a good discount at my work for an entry level fat tire. It’ll get my going until I feel like I need to spend more. Excited to hit the trails and create more memories with my son!

Well I got a cane creek db inline coil 190x45 and my frame doesn't like it. Won't fit it. Any of y'all interested in one?

We usually carry two bikes. Short stop for gas I'll just run a Kryptonite cable through both frames and through the rack. Anything longer and I also use a U lock through the outside bike's rear wheel and around the 1UP tray. We all know that these are just deterrents. Wishing Kryptonite or Abuse made a longer version of their chains.

Delta suspension starts with a ton of leverage, giving it that small bump compliance. Then has a serious platform in the middle for sedating support, with a dose of progression at the end to prevent bottom out. It's a specific feel, for sure. The chart I attached shows what I'm talking about, specific to the insurgent. All Delta platform are very similar in shape, with slight changes. For example, the Wreckoning starts its ramp up at the end earlier, to play nice with coil.

You're going to LOVE that bike man. One of the best rides out there right now.

Interesting, what frame? Where's the problem? That might fit my Django, I'll shoot you a PM.

Norco fluid fs1. The mounting point is too narrow and the coil would rub on mine.

could always make your own chain from links at home depot or something. wrap it in old tubes (ive heard fire depts will give away their old hoses if you wanna get real fancy), get a thick lock, and bam.

yeah...but the kryptonite is 12mm thick which is the allure...hah! a hardened steel chain from the depot could work but it's just not the same. Besides, how are people going to know how much i spent on locks if they don't see "kryptonite" on the lock. ;P ;P

We drove to itapaiva that is north of Rio de Janeiro and stayed in the mountains for a 3 day weekend. 1st pic is a bike park called Montanha Azul. We didn't make it far before I broke a few spokes on the GT bike so I was riding my santa cruz tallboy. Nice hand built downhill trail with a lot of flowy parts. Does someone have an idea why I always break spokes on this bike?? It's a 2015 and i've broke spokes on the front+rear wheels multiple times. I never broke spokes before this bike.
The 2nd pic is at a bike shop in town, they have a very nice cafe, a bike shop, and a trail system in town.
The 3rd pic is one of the trails that was a steep, difficult to climb to the top. It looks like a fire went through here recently. It also has a white horse walking around and he wouldn't let me pass for a while lol

I return to the USA in a few weeks. I'm missing home and my tacoma.
