    I used J hooks screwed into some 2x4(s) ABOVE the rafters for the best use of space/cost. The do sell hoist solution to store flat against the ceiling, but ehh.

    Seen 'em. Found this one on a quick google. IF I was in a tiny apartment, or doing this was the difference between fitting a vehicle in a garage or not fitting, I would do it. I have the real estate to play with, this would end with pedal bite on my forehead I can guarantee it.

    lol. Used to hang my Fit bike upside down by the wheels, which resulted plenty of bar to forehead contact. Initial reaction was always, "who tha f**k put this shit here"...:homer:
