Got caught in some heavy downpours today. It was glorious.

Man I love this bike. Perfect for what I ride 90% of the time, and can easily handle way more than I could ever dish out.

Rain will come. Eventually. October worst case! Anyway I know I will need fenders, and yes I have been eyeballing the threaded blind holes in the fork..........
So I bought this and this:
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B081BHT32S?ie=UTF8
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B081BHSZ7Z?ie=UTF8
Pricey but wanted bolt on, solid fit.

REAR fender question. How? I don't see many (good) options. What are you using for a rear fender?:anonymous:

Ended up with a nice bike in a trade. Basically got it for $500. Replacing a few things this week as you can see. Pedal pins, chain, rotors, pads, dropper post cable. Might sell it, but so tempting to keep.

My buddy just got a gravel bike and I’m going to help him get it setup (his first bike as an adult). What kind of tire pressures should I start him with? He’s a big dude (at least 250).

We got the rain here in New England. I won’t complain usually this time of year my lawn takes on a nice shade of beige. Seems to be doing good this year.

    not enough.
That depends on tires. And tubeless vs tubed. Generally speaking, keep those tubes a little higher in pressure. But for tubeless on say...35c tires, you should probably do 40 or 50. Wider tires, and you can drop it down a little. At least that's my opinion.

Getting some great use out of the Meta. Great trip with the lady biking above 10,000ft. Had some smoke roll in but the jet stream moved at the end. Hope everyone is getting their summer fill.

It’s a pretty cheepo bikesdirect type of bike. So tubes and not sure what size tires yet. So maybe start him at 50 f/r?

I’d say 50-60 PSI if the tires are 40mm-ish (depending on the max rated pressure). Go up from 60 the thinner the tire is.

Apparently they don't fix it to keep the horse riders off the trail. Fine with that. Only cows to watch out for in the fall.

You always get me thinking I should just get a Following! How much do you think the coil adds to the "this bike can handle anything" feeling?
