Do tell.. what did you order? Shipping was fast, two days as mentioned on their site. Order it Thursday morning, got it Saturday.

You're not wrong sir. I was just going to cut my stock seat post down, but at $129... why not?

I haven't installed it yet. Realized I had nothing to cut the cable & housing with. Still, this will be my first dropper, so don't have any other experience to compare it to.

    not enough.
Yeah, they've already shipped mine. Just a loam lever to replace the shitty one on my enduro bike and the coast handlebar to replace the shitty handlebar on my gravel bike. lol.

Devinci builds super stout over-built frames. I’ll own another Devinci in the future for sure. I just wish they’d move to DW link!

I've got that same helmet in the same color. Love it. You put it on and don't notice it until you go to get back in your truck and realize it's on your head, exactly what w helmet should do.

Just went on my first Ebike ride on Sunday..

:anonymous:Bunch of my hockey buddies have them... One guy even had a trail spare, he let me take out...his "old bike" shit was fresh off the show room floor.

Pretty similar to my SJ EVO...we did 18 miler in 1hr 30min with 3K ft of climbing with a number of breaks . Average HR 115 lol Max was 160

My take away...It was pretty awesome to be honest... I kept it in the trail setting so I still got a decent work out trying to keep pace with the rest of the group. You can jump stuff going up hill and try climbs you wouldn't even think to try on Analog bike. If you wanted to set it in the Turbo mode its almost effortless. If I had an extra $7500 laying around I'd pick one up for sure. The idea of additional exploring/ trail building that you could do on an ebike at the end of the ride I think I still has 60 % battery, you could probably lay down 40+ miles on charge if didn't have it on full kill setting. It was way heavier than my EVO but still was able to send it down the trail not problem... Was cool being able to ride with guys that were all at different levels of fitness but all ride together for the most part on the ups.

All that said rode my bike this AM on a little 10 mile 1800 grinder 1Hr ride Average HR 150 Max was 182 and I gotta say.. I like the pain/Struggle/challenge of having to pedal up the hills.. you get to the top and it makes the downs that much better.

Downhill it was the same really maybe a bit faster on the ebike from just being a little more fresh.

While I'm able to hammer on the pedals I think I'll stick with that but if offered another opportunity to shred some miles on a ebike... I'm in.

I wanna go back and do the same ride on my Bike and see how I stack up on the climbs.

Anyways, my 3 cents on the e bike matter.

    Happy NBD to me! :)

I did it. Found something that was in my realistic budget and is going to be plenty of bike for how I ride and give me plenty of room to grow. It is amazing to see how little truly is available when it comes to midrange stuff. I know there is some used stuff out there, but I like new…I know - I could’ve saved a bit or got more bike. But I like knowing what I’m truly getting.

So here she is…Specialized Comp Alloy. She joins the stable of my others and rounds out my selection of rides quite well! I took the afternoon to convert to tubeless and try to install my Garmin mount, which, didn’t fit. So will need to return that and get another one. But stoked for this bike! And I signed up for a 12 hour MTB race this afternoon in 3.5 weeks……I better get to riding this thing!

Well, broke another spoke on the rear. Now deciding on what I can replace it with while also getting it fixed.
    :annoyed:

The rims are 28 Spoke M1700’s.
Debating on how big I wanna go.

Thinking DTSwiss EX511 32 spoke, I9 101, CX Ray Spokes. Hand laced custom build. $860

There’s also the I9 Enduro S 101 Wheelsets I’ve found in superboost, but they’re 28 Spoke, and budget steel spokes at that. $770 set or $460 rear

The two options above have me ordering 200mm 6bolt Rotors $70 set.

I weigh around 190 no gear for whoever cares. There’s always WR1 Unions, but then I’d feel boujiee  ~$1600-1700 with CXRay and Vesper. Can order center lock.

Hunt! Carbon, 28 spoke front/32 spoke rear, lifetime warranty, $1000 (they were $800 a year ago). They also have some aluminum options for very reasonable prices.

Another benefit of carbon is that they stay true, which can reduce the likelihood of breaking a spoke. If you've got the money then I say go carbon. Also, you're worried about being boujee with AXS on your bike?!

I got the axs for like 250 after selling the original drivetrain.

Also, I’ve looked at Hunt, they quit building with DT350s, that’s a big turn off, they don’t offer super boost, and they’re an alibaba private label company.

A lifetime warranty is only as good as the company representing it. Not saying the guys there aren’t good people, just saying they lifetime warranty the first set. Break another you’re on your own. SC Reserve definitely win the warranty segment.

Just busting your balls on the AXS cause I'm jealous.

No doubt SC reserve is the best warranty, but from what I can tell everyone else is on the same plane with one replacement. We are one actually told me that directly when I was considering my wheel upgrade. Only suggesting hunt cause they're comparable performance, less money, most people haven't heard of them, and they've been great for me. I missed the superboost part. Also, I weigh 215 with no gear.

I still maintain my main point, go carbon if you have the money.

I wouldn’t be deterred by the 28 spoke count on an I9 built wheel, but I’m biased.

If you’re shopping around with wheel builders, check out speed vision bikes on PB/insta/FB

I ordered my Pike and my Push Elevensix through Ryan. Very competitive pricing and speedy shipping. If you order through him, mention my username. Think I might get a instore credit for the referral.

I don’t have FB, but he seems to be pretty active on Instagram and is very quick to respond to email.

My .02 is dont go with the 1/1 hubs. A buddy of mine brought his in with a broken axle and they arent common with torch/hydra and they arent available on their website. We ended up tearing down a new 1/1 hub to keep him rolling and going through warranty. I love I9 but I wouldnt want to deal with service parts not being readily available.

I'm of the philosophy of "buy once, cry once", but I'm no fan of spending money where it doesn't really have the benefit. Quality carbon wheels are worth the $$ IMO. NOX and Zipp have been flawless for me, and have taken some serious abuse. i9 Hydras and P321 hubs have as well.
If you re on 27.5 I have a set....
