I too suffer from Raynaud's and it sucks. The balance is always finding gloves that are not too tight or too loose. Trial and error. Oddly corny but the Handsup winter gloves have worked well for me. I don't have an issue in a cool house, but hiking or biking or really any outdoor work gets pretty painful.

I'd try something like this if it meant me riding or not riding?

A lot of this really depends on your commute. Obviously uphill means you don't need as much since it's slow and you're generating a lot of heat by pedaling. If your commute trends down/flat and you can move faster then you'll need more warm stuff.

I wear tights under bike shorts for my winter commute cause I don't like pants while biking. I haven't tried any of the fancy new trail pants though and maybe I'll try those this winter.

For the hands, the bar mitts are by far the best thing you can do for winter commuting. I have and they are amazing! You can wear no gloves or thin gloves and still get good feel for the brakes and shifters. I've tried all types of gloves over the past 10+ years commuting and there's nothing that comes close.

i may need to dig out my thermals. i have a pair of under armor ones somewhere when i used to run cross country.

idk about $500 gloves. id rather drive at that point. those looks difficult to use on a bike and are more for skiing.

those bar mitts are what i've been considering. would let me wear a light pair of gloves under and still have dexterity of my fingers.

i may have to swap from clips to flats on my commuter and wear some thicker boots i have.

thanks for all the input. sounds like im gonna have to open my wallet for some stuff

Oh, I also like a fleece jacket for the upper body. I find that it's enough warmth without causing me to over-heat because it lets a lot of air through.

Not exactly "new bike day," but I bought a brush cutter for trail maintenance last week. I volunteer as the local trailbuilding organization's Trail Boss for two city parks with about 5 miles of trails under my charge. This beast will make it a lot easier to keep up with the dense, head-high prairie grass and brush that surround most of my trails.

We're building a new section that just happens to have a trailhead 1/3 mile from my house, where I work from home M-F. Hello lunch rides...

    not enough.
Not gonna lie. the new Tundra is very enticing. Especially since I can comfortably take more bikes and have more adventure...with little change to my fuel usage. lolol.

The exterior is going to take some getting used to, but the updated interior looks quite nice.

Perhaps this is blasphemy on a Tacoma forum, but why not get a F150 or Ram then? They both have better MPG than the new Tundra.

If I were interested in a full-size truck, it would have to be a Tundra... but this is how I feel every time I get behind the wheel of a full-size truck:
