Went for my first outside ride after breaking some ribs. Felt good to get outside on the gravel. It's unseasonably warm too. Be a week or so more before I hit the trail again.

Congrats! Also they make some pretty cool child carriers these days. Recommend https://thebikedads.com/ for some resources to get some little grom time in there. Even if their tastes are a little more pricey than what I feel like throwing at a kiddo.

    GL. make friends with LBS.

Neighbor has been searching for a few months and is having a hell of a time finding what he wants, too.

What difficulty trails are you looking for? There is an abundance on trails in that area

Why are you against ordering form a bike shop?

    Maybe they're not against it.

You can't get a 27.5 from my shop this year if you didn't reserve it months ago.

Pretty much this. I have been satisfied with my 29er all season. Got a 27.5" itch, but yes none in shops, too late.........

    Thanks guys.

I would love to ride Kitsuma, looks awesome but I'm afraid and pretty positive it will be a little too fast and steep for my girl. Something intermediate? How is Bent Creek or Black Mountain?

Have you tried a shop or are you just assuming they won't have one? Wife just bought a 27.5 small from our LBS. It was just sitting on the showroom floor. They had 1 or 2 others as well.

All of our local shops won't sell online right now because they specifically bought models for their local customers.

Are you asking me? I sell em so I know they're all spoken for.

Not surprising someone is having trouble finding one. Especially in November which can be a dry month in the best of years.

Yes I look and call quite a bit. This area is pretty much a high demand area I guess you could call it - people want 27.5" still.

Yeah unfortunately Kitsuma is one of the easier trails in the area.

Dupont has your name written all over it

Give my man Chris a call https://pisgahmountainbikeadventures.com/ They're a professional Guiding company and can optimize a ride perfect for you both

Bent Creek is good and is in an experimental forest so it has some cool scenery - maybe not so much in November.

DuPont has plenty of intermediate trails and theres a lot of waterfalls in the area. There is a lot more variation down in Brevard.
