Most of you regular contributors are South and West but ya never know...I have a pr of 27.5x2.8 studded 45NRTH WRAITHCHILDS. I would like to sell. I have not used them since winter of 2019 and maybe 9-10 winter rides. Excellent condition, they blew up to 2.75 on i38 rims, i40 or more would be optimum. $150.00 + shpg for the pair. Have the same ring on the Wrecker. They should make it with SRAM fitment.

Okay, my review of installing ride wrap.

it’s not sticky which is silly, you wet it and it moves around easily for install and lining everything up. That’s easy. These bubbles though. I’m not talking big misaligned bubbles, but these microscopic ones that bother me.

from now on ride wraps are $300. $100 for the wrap and $200 to the shop installing it. geez.

 

Yea it's kind of a pain for sure with the tailored kits.
I had a similar experience with the bubbles. Although I did find that the really small ones went away in 24 hours or so. Any bigger than that tended to stick around.

I wish they made a kit that was a bit between the tailored and basic generic protective kit. I really just want the outside contact surfaces protected rather than the inner part of the chainstays & backside of the seat tube.

 

I completely agree about something in between. All of the wrapping in and out of crevices is crazy.

Good to know about the bubbles. Any that don’t disappear will get the hair dryer and needle.

 

I tried that but with a razor blade and some heat with little to no luck. The film is pretty thick so you need to poke a bigger hole than what a needle will make to be able to push the water out. I also didn't try too hard either so you might have better luck than I did.

Cheap, easy to apply, and you can put it wherever you want. One roll should cover most of the bike. Two if you want to really go OCD. Best part is you can easily remove it and apply a new strip in case it you scuff/damage it.
