That sucks butt. Similar thing happened to me with my first carbon bike on its maiden voyage. Went down hard in a switchback and my bike came to rest on a jagged boulder seesawing by the top tube. Gouged the top tube pretty good but it was fine.

If you ever figure out how to post pics, I would love to see this build. In the middle of my own Honzo ST build. Still acquiring the parts but looking forward to getting it put together.

Getting this old bike up and running as a ‘gravel’ bike. New, it was advertised as a fitness bike, whatever the hell that means. It had 700x28c tires, it’s getting upgraded to 700x38c Schwalbe tires, PNW grips, new chain, drive train degreased and oiled, stem disassembled, greased and put back together, new pedals and then we’ll see how the cables all do. Rear wheel also needs to be trued up by a shop (I don’t know how to do that on my own). Bike is 16-17 years old, was ridden quite a bit when it was new, then stored until about 2015ish, ridden a little bit with a kid carrier then put away again. Put it on the stand and it still clicked through all its gears nice and smooth even though you can hear how gunked up the chain is. Overall, pretty impressed with how the bike has held up considering its had almost no maintenance.

Is it just me or does this BB housing look like shit? Not to mention the brake hose hanging low and rubbing on the BB tube.

Dented or just paint inconsistency. Could face it if you really cared. 86mm?

At least the article got it right
‘one rider took a less than sensible line that ran straight into the path of an angry bull.’

that guy was an absolute moron getting that close to an animal that big that’s known to be poor tempered.

I believe so. Works fine but just doesn’t look good. Would I need a new crankset if I went that route?

I'm thinking about swapping out my Stanton frame to a new Chameleon. I miss my old Chameleon and im not crazy about the Stanton, but the new Chameleon geo has my a bit hesitant.

Oh theres nothing wrong with it, but its closer to the Stanton than it is the previous Chameleon which I liked a lot.
