My portable arb compressor seated my tires for me when I had a flat once. Not sure if that answers the “do not want to seat” part of your question.

I happen to have the chain and seat off for maintenance reasons. A large RockyMountain Instinct fits with the fork turned 180 degrees. Looks like a rear seat delete would make the fit tighter, the rear tire needs to clear the armrest for the extra 2". Seat would be no problem. Dog was getting pissy I moved his bed.

Trying the fork from another bike and didn't want to cut it until I was certain it fit and worked well.

That’s certainly one way to accomplish what you’re after. I might have swapped most if not all those spacers above the stem to maintain the same geo as previous.

LOL, Again in the process of maintenance and fitting a new/old fork and spacers would go below to determine many were needed when the top cap was tightened down. It's in the first step of checking a fit. Note no break levers on it, no dropper lever, nothing but tightened down to keep the fork from falling off while it's travel is checked blah blah blah blah.

But yes, if the fork works I expect it will have two spacers below and one above after the fork is cut after it is determined to work with the bike.

BRUH, I just scored this felt f70 in absolutely tip top condition for a killer price. Light af too. Needs a new back tire. Gonna ride this baby till the wheels fall off. Anyone recommend going tubeless ? As for the ELY Nevada race. I might have to bow out. Elbow surgery is happening very soon.

    not enough.
I have heard that ARB compressora can work. I use the airshot which is essentially a can with a tube to connect to your valve to blast it with air. :/

    Nice.

I'll never not recommend tubeless but it's less important, I think, with narrower tires.

Road tibledd can be a bit tougher to set up as well.

My road bike is set up on 30s and tubeless most of the time but I usually race on 28s with latex tubes.

That's the easiest way to go. Fill the can, connect to your tire and blast it.

My ARB single can do it, unless you have a particularly feisty tire/rim combo. I already had a track pump and this, so I didn't get an airshot type pump.

Most importantly, people look at you like some sorta space wizard when you pull an air compressor hose out of your truck at a trailhead and fix a bead
