That photo of my truck was taken in the dispersed camping area that is located about one mile west of the campgrounds. I can't find anything online indicating that it's currently closed, but you may want to call the local BLM field office to ask.

Looks like Ibis has just rebranded...they must have announced it in the last like hour or so because I was on their website then refreshed and it was a brand new website haha

Welcome to the new Ibis! - Ibis Cycles Inc.

I'm assuming this is why everything was on sale haha.

Interesting. What would drive that, and what does that mean for consumers (new and old)?

That is a great question and I have no idea what the question is. Hopefully all good stuff is on the way.

They haven't announced any new bikes and it seems they have also strategically updated the frame colors. The Ripmo AF, Mojo, and Hakka didn't get new colors so does that mean new bikes soon?

The bikes that did get new colors have done away with the bolt/rivet on headtube badge. I'm probably reading into it too much but I would assume some cost factors were considered there, are we going to see more cost driven changes?

It looks like the bikes with new colors also got frame protection. I know my ripley AF doesn't have down tube protection but the new colorway does.

    not enough.
(I did request first right of refusal if he sells it) Probably over 100 nights in that thing over the years[/QUOTE]

I already asked. their literature is kinda confusing. butttttt. the only place you have to camp in campgrounds is in that area close to the actual campgrounds. outside of that small area is still open dispersed camping. one sec. i'll pull up the map they sent me.

Copy of the actual brochure is attached.

here's a screenshot. light blue is restricted area.

That's what I was thinking. The campgrounds themselves require reservations now, but the BLM land along the road to the west is still good to go for dispersed camping. You should be good to go if you head that way to ride and camp, @neatoneto !

Probably consumer surveys that said the old branding is so 1990's. It also means that the consumers will pay for the cost of the marketing consulting fees to come up with a new font and logo :D

What they should've paid for is a refresh of the suspension design (similar to what Santa Cruz does once in a great while).

    Just my $.02 of course.

The PB comments on the rebranding are pretty dang comical.

Boo, keep DW and maybe make it vertical like Pivot did.. Ibis aren't eye catching, but they always get great reviews so they're doing something right.

Seems like budget this year is down since all they get is "bold new graphics." reminds me of reading year after year of dirt bike reviews.

I agree with some of them, they are going the direction of Intense 951 with it without the price decrease haha.

I agree with @whitedlite the suspension is super solid, at least the ripley AF. Maybe I should try a newer santa cruz but I find it hard to believe the Ibis DW Link can get much better

So much of a platforms feel is subjective. And as humans, I can’t help but believe some of that ‘feel’ bleeds over to our own perceptions and reviews of how a platform performs.

I personally enjoy the feel of DW link suspension designs. They seem super efficient and supple at the same time. I would NOT describe the current VPP design in the same manor.

Check out the new Raptor Route coming back into town from Porcupine Rim. Miles of fun with nary a turn of the pedals. Bonus: it dumps you into Moab right near Milt’s
