Also, started running Rimpact inserts on my gravel bike and damn what a gamechanger. Damping, no real risk of smashing a rim... Most transformative mod I've made.

For those that have an old EVOC bike bag and the new EVOC Pro frame stand, it’s a super snug fit (in other words, almost impossible to put in the original EVOC Bag). The old foam block or generation 1 frame stand fits better (even if the cross bars are prone to bending and breaking in half).

    A few.
Stopped by my LBS… while they don’t mix sealants in customers bikes, the mechanic said Orange & Stan’s are both ammonia based. Said he has a hard time keeping track of what sealant is in which of his bikes, and likely has a mixture in all of his tires.

Those Ti cranks look great against the teal paint.

When you live in a place that has goat heads, tubeless is a game changer.

I'm at the point where I drive 5 minutes to the shop for mounting. I prefer spending $25 per wheel rather than absolutely losing my temper and still being unsuccesful

Yep. Yesterday, got ready to get out and ride finally, with the temps at 38 and feels like 31…..notice a goat head in the rear tire. Pulled it and sealant would seal even with the spinning of the wheel. So, had to add a bit more sealant and plug the dang thing. Was good to go after that. But New Mexico, it’s more rare to not get a goat head in your tire than it is to get one.

I was down in Santa Fe for thanksgiving and my dog would get one or two goat heads in his little paws every time I took him for a walk.

Hayes was quick with the shipping too. Got the brakes and rotors today.
Excited to give them a go. They're just chilling at the house waiting to be opened.

Anyone in size XL looking for a new steed? Looking at selling my 2020 La Sal Peak. Built up pretty nice but can swap parts off new bike to it to meet really any budget.

I wanted to test this bike in the loam. Plus, I needed to get away from the Southeast weather for a day or two.

I'm thinking of trying the Rimpact inserts this year. I really don't need them where I live but I'm doing a 4 day gravel stage race in the mountains in August and would like to run some sort of insert for extra security.

Finally got the fat bike tires to seat on the rims. I had to use a tube, set the bead with the tube in, break down one side and pull the tube out. One tire still took a couple tries, not a fan of those tires, they seem really difficult to work with. Flats are on, studded tires are mounted up, just waiting on the snow!

Top of Demo is a bad time to realize you lost a pinch bolt.
