Nice! I haven't seen blue skies in over a week since a large wildfire started here in Northern Colorado. As you can see by RockiesTaco photos above. There’s actually mountains in the background of those photos. :(

Are your shots screen grabs off a chest mounted GoPro?

There’s actually two fires up here now. Not sure if you heard about the one that started in Rist Canyon yesterday. No bueno!

edit: my truck was covered in ash when I got back to the parking lot. Didn’t notice it on the ride. I’m sure my lungs did.

Someone mentioned another fire, I didn’t pay much attention. Maybe that’s why today was smokier than most recent days. This sucks, the Cameron Pass fire I read today where they aren’t even fighting it directly. They are concentrating making fire lines 12 miles away and letting it burn to them before an all out assault with retardant drops and such.

    Edit: Here’s that article. https://www.coloradoan.com/story/ne...firefighters-fighting-containment/3406885001/

I heard the same. Not much they can do at this point. It’s like a matchbook of dead beetle kill trees up there. They’ve evacuated all the way to the east side of Pennock Pass on Buckhorn Road pretty much to Ballard, if you’re familiar. The Rist Canyon one really irritates me, considering the fire ban in place.

Yep, wasn’t Rist Canyon part of the High Park fire in 2012? One of the biggest ever in this region. Hope they find how and if human started find them and prosecute.

Yeah it was. They’re saying it’s burning back into the High Park burn scar. Could be a good thing, less fuel.
Looks like Cameron Peak was human caused and I’m guessing this one is too. Sad for sure, and I agree with you!

Sorry to derail the thread everybody!

Damn man! I cant imagine what its like out there. While incomparable to your guys' scenario, At the beginning of the season they were doing controlled burns in one of the state parks near one of the trail heads. It was literally like riding through a forest fire since it went through some of the trails, and smoke everywhere in the woods. I was so surprised they did not notify the public in the parking lots when arriving with any signs, or even shut the park down. It was def dangerous to the general public who were riding. But at the same time, SWEET!

And yes, these are screen grabs from my Hero8.

Just hiked up to Arapaho Peak in Indian Peaks. 13,500 ft, and still tons of smoke. Unreal.

I should swing by and grab those bars from you. Forgot that I sold my shock pump with my last bike - went to do some work and I let air out....derp. The only one Mike's Bikes sells is the digital one for $70.

I ran a 4 bike rack and could only put three bikes on it when I had the 285's and a offset spare wheel. But when I was running the 255/85R16's on factory wheels I could get all 4 bikes on. So it just kinda depends on the spare and if it is angled or straight. Hope that helps some. That was with a Yakima HoldUp Evo and I am sure the new Kuat NV2.0 Base would be the same as they are very similar in sizing.

Also, I use this one and it's great and not $70
