My research indicates that getting hit by sail boat is one of your greater risks in RI.

The trails I ride don't allow night riding. I have been out after dark before but you better be on a trail that heads back to your vehicle if a ranger catches you.

this is the case for mine too, being a state park the trails close at sundown...haven't heard of any issues, but they've been stepping their game up on some stuff lately..

@Bentrodder where do you ride? In Southern California, I know of one trail that allows night riding, and its because its managed by BLM, not city, county, or state.

Getting people for not paying. They put an honor box at the bottom of closed road and you have to get a paper receipt when you pay. Most just ride right by it. Heard of a guy getting arrested by the ranger for not having his receipt

Honestly though, I've had that jacket since 2012 and those shoes for 3 seasons. Only got the bike last spring. but it's a winning combo!

I just checked the price on that bad boy and its definitely not cheap. Does that get you access to all state parks or just Monte Sano?

Same here in CO. Any state run area is no night rides. Forest service and BLM is fine though, but by winter time most are snowed in.

I'm looking at building a 29in wheelset for my switchblade this winter and was wondering if anybody has experience with the Spank Vibrocore rims? I'm debating between these and the EX511s but DT Swiss has been out of stock since this summer. I'm not a big guy ~145lbs so I've never had a problem with my wheels not feeling stiff enough. Also if anybody has any other suggestions I'm totally open to them.

Not sure what that has to do with communism...
To play ranger’s advocate, if someone’s dumb ass gets lost or hurt out there after dark the rangers need to go get em. That puts them in unnecessary danger. I get the rules, even though I don’t like them.
    On a similar note...
Trails are finally starting to open up around here since the fires are finally slowing down. Sun is getting low damn early, and it’s cold as shit and need to keep an eye out for snow and ice. But damn glad to be able to still get out there.
