Nice I too left a specialized. I had the Enduro pro 26er. I loved it well still love it, I keep it as a back up. I love how play full this bike is also it can wheelie like a mother f*cker...
Back when my truck was still unmolested.

    MUST...RESIST...N+1!!!...WILLPOWER!

Try posting to MTBEU on Facebook, seems like there may be some success there. KSL is where I have bought and sold a few bikes, but comes with the usual "craigslist" type problems.

I typically do KSL and pinkbike. but its just not the right time to be selling a bike anyhow so i guess im not pushing to hard. The hope currently is that some one grabs it because its a good deal. Or steal it... its worth more via insurance haha

Pretty sure that would be insurance fraud...but I'm not gonna lie and say that I didn't have the same thought. May or may not have brought both bikes to the trailhead a few times...

Go park it in Sugarhouse or West Jordan for 30 mins, I'm sure you will be able to file a claim in no time!

Took the truck to Sedona this weekend to camp and bike. Long drive from Colorado - 12h through Santa Fe to grab a friend - but the riding there is out of this world.

There is a lot of off camber rock there. Lots of fun trying to keep traction when it's 30 degrees in the early morning!

I hear that! i was fortunate enough to ride the whole enchilada to the top in early Nov and it was freezing! and icy on the trail but the riding was still good! thats also when my poor 2004 Rav4 got rear ended with my 2018 nomad on it..... and that is why i find myself on this form now... you Taco guys seem a bit cooler than the Rav4 forums hahahaha

Major bummer. I take it the bike's ok since you're selling it.

Can you believe some people PEDAL all the way up and then do the descent...in a day...animals I tell ya.

Got it. How does claiming a totaled bike in a car accident work? Mine is hanging over my tailgate a lot and it has crossed my mind a few times.

The used bike market, more specifically used DH bike market has totally flatlined. My 31 pound, great condition, top top top of the line Pivot Phoenix Carbon sat and sat for months. Finally just wanted it gone and let it go for $3,500. That dude got a killer deal.

I think lucked out a little, i had two other friends with also very nice bikes on the back of the car as well. Due to the car not being worth much they were able to pay out the over 20k in bikes on the back as well as 5k for my car. but i think it could have been a different story if i had a newer car. at least thats what it sounded like. Anything attached to your car will end up being separate from the auto claim but the insurance company still has to pay out on the items that were on your vehicle in the wreck, even if they arent yours. so even the bike rack was covered. but yeah i believe i would have had to jump through some hoops if say i had the truck i do now with those bikes on the back and everything was a loss. If the guy who hit you doesnt have great insurance i could see it being a real head ache.
