Heading to Moab this weekend for the first desert trip of the year! I'm mostly riding with some beginners and may even try a ride with my daughter on this, so not gonna get too rowdy. It'll be nice to get on some slickrock regardless.

got any camping advice? im headed there next weekend for the first time and a bit nervous about finding a spot. planning on getting there late thursday night and getting up super early friday before sunrise, so it doesn't have to be the prettiest. i have a rtt so its just pulling in and popping up.
i was thinking something near the start of gemini bridges or something off 191. id like to be northwest of moab since im trying to get to whatever arch in arches for sunrise.
friday night im sure i can find something with the funtreks moab book

I’ve been tempted to grab one of those. Missed the boat with my oldest. Even at 4.5yo she’s way too big but my 2.5yo son is small and would likely get a kick out of it.

I know they market those things as being carbon frame compatible, but I don’t know if I trust that.

Stumbled on this site searching fit topics. Interesting take on finding bike fit and their findings that many are on bikes that are too big. The youtube video embedded was pretty interesting. https://www.leelikesbikes.com/dynamic-mtb-fit

I scrolled through, I enjoy the topics under "Here's why so many people are on ill fitting bikes"

    Dudes overestimate their height

Bike and Tacos? I hope this goes here? I toured by two wheels for years.

Ataxia (loss of balance) is a bitch, but doesn't stop me from riding.

    PM incoming...

My daughter is just about two, so it's probably a bit too soon for her. I'm not really worried about her physical stregnth, but I think she's gonna get distracted and take her hands off the bars. We'll see!

As far as frame compatibility goes... it has some big rubber bumpers that protect that frame. I doubt it would do any real damage, but I totally hear ya. I'm planning to mount it on my titanium hardtail, just in case...

So I put some mountain bike tires on my truck - should I paint the logo yellow?

Does anyone here have one or have any experience with it? Looks like a cool thing to have, looking forward to getting some use out of it!

I'm thinking of trying those next.

Funny that they cost less than double one MTB tire...

Never leave home without water, a spare tube, inflator, and multitool.
When I started riding I had a few "learning experiences" where I had to call my wife to pick me up because I didn't have a replacement tube or a bolt came loose with no way to tighten it and there's nothing worse than halfway through a ride realizing you don't have your water bottle.

They look cool but reviews seem hit or miss with them.
I plan on getting a 3.8 gallon WaterPort for my trailside cleaning.

just took a look at their site, and the RinseKit looks like the better option for me, since it has a storage space, is a square tub, and can double as a step or seat.

Yea I like all those features, I just wish the RinseKit was cheaper, $180 for something with so many mixed reviews is hard for me to justify.
Were as the Waterport has better reviews and cheaper but the design isn't as good.
