I was looking for a similar-style bike as you last fall. I rode the Pivot Mach 4SL, Pivot Trail 429, Yeti SB115 & the Specialized Epic Evo. Mach 4 SL was immediately out. Trail 429 was excellent. The SB115 was nice, but I couldn't seem to get comfortable on it. The Epic Evo was a riot. For me, it came down to the Epic Evo & the Trail 429 and I ended up getting an Epic Evo. The Epic was a little lighter (about 25 lbs!) and it had a nicer build than the 429 for the same money. Geometry was very similar between the two except for head angle (Epic was a little slacker at 66.5).

I was really lucky to be able to find all of these bikes locally and take some test rides. If I went by numbers alone, I would've chosen the Trail 429. As soon as I was half a block away on the Epic Evo, I knew it was the one for me.

    Good luck in your search!!

Pretty hot. With new inventory still being low you could probably list it for retail and have decent chances of getting close to what you paid.

Hype confirmed. These little bikes are a riot.

I am very interested. Is it an ST 29 with aluminum frame? I could also provide you a shipping label and you just drop at the LBS for packing/shipping

Once you confirm the specs I can make you an offer

If you are in an area with active folks - selling in 60 seconds!

    Why selling?

Just for POR - I bought my Stumpy Carbon EVO custom new (described above) just under $5K.

right on that's what I've got P3.... super fortunate, the city built a bike park down the road a few miles my house. Sapwi Bike park https://www.instagram.com/sapwibikepark/?hl=en

Yea man, For sure been working on figuring out whips both directions and tabletops last few weeks. Even hitting jumps with the opposite foot forward. It's been fun learning some new stuff.

its the most awkward thing.. I'm sure I do it on the trail without thinking about it ... but going into even the baby jump line opposite footed is a total mind fuck.. give it a go.

And yea I've been trying to work the bar turn and hand rotated around so I can get my arm sucked in more.

just started to sort out whips a little bit in last few weeks. Not much but it's better than nada. I gotta start to carve more off the lip... I was a little sketched on this jump cause it's pretty good size for a hack like myself haha

Everyone I ride with that can throw massive whips tells me the whip starts before you even leave that they kind of cut across the lip to already start getting the bike at an angle. I did this and launched off the trail haha.

I should dedicate more time to tables though.

haha sounds about right.. bet that whip was radical though....

My buddy that I've been riding with has been telling me to work on the opposite way whips to learn the mechanics of what I'm doing in the air. There's been a few dead sailors...

Life is short....send the meat suit... :bananadead:

One good thing thats come from it is very rarely do I have dead sailors any more. That shit is frightening. On the other hand I want to get used to massive bar humps... which I think starts to feel like a dead sailor haha.

Here's my little baby whip. And Doom you're right, I need to nut-up on the lip carve. And of course everybody has the go-to, mine is a one-footer thing. I justify my like of style by specializing in sending myself down big stuff first in my riding group...gotta earn respect with injuries if you don't have any shapes to throw haha
