All my bikes, revolving or not, are insured. It's like $7 extra per month or something

Outside isn't bad but it is obviously way more commercial. Pinkbike does a good job of keeping it mostly real in my opinion. hopefully that doesn't change.
    I think that's a good deal haha

Yeah... Outside also owns BRAIN... I just see it as a little too much editorial influence in the bike industry. We need more independents like the old Dirt Rag!

Wow. Dead thread jump to new life.

Back on the sealant topic. I’ve never topped off sealant. Being lighter weight and not a bruiser overall, I don’t have much issue with punctures/flats. I tend to just set it/forget it until it’s time for new tires. That methodology has worked for me so far…

Good for that original Pinkbike crew. Started a grassroots MTB website and grew it into a global info source. Now time to retire...and there's nothing wrong with that. (Unless you hate capitalism)

No doubt, they did a great job. I just hope it doesn't change for the worse.

Anyone have experience with Muc Off No Puncture? Saw a couple articles that rated it highly along with the Orange Endurance and Stans Race.

I could probably get away with this too. But I try to top off/clean out old gunk about once a year.

Prolly should add that I rarely have the same set of tires on a wheelset for longer than a year.

Hating capitalism is the extreme... I mean; my career and retirement sort of depend on it... but there is a balance to be struck w/ regard to monopolizing editorial influence over published information and content in one single industry without any oversight or regulation. We all want to make informed choices on bike and gear purchases without feeling pandered to and/or our choices manipulated by targeted marketing, shaping the narrative to cater ads and sales to the companies with the most dollars to spend on all the platforms under the Outside umbrella. That is anathema to healthy competition...

Well to be fair 2 of the "seasons" are half seasons. Tires look to be in great shape still but they have for sure lost some bite. Plus they are the stock dual compound so a bit better wearing. Mainly though it's just the advantage of riding PNW loam 90% of the time.

Finally got out on vacation to “The Hulk” in myrtle beach. If you’re ever in the area, totally worth a ride. 7.5mile one direction single track. They’ve done a fantastic job with the man made features and use of carpet for traction and maintaining shape. Several tabletops, berms, a step up, a few drops, wood features etc. great job by the trail builders/maintainers using what elevation they had and making it fun.
