Does anyone know if there is enough room to use something like a RockyMount drive shaft or similar on a bedrail when a bakflip cover is folded open?

I don't think there's enough clearance between the folded panels of the tonneau cover to get my forks to the front bedrail.

I can post a pic if my description sucks. Thanks for any input.

Does the tall height also work with the factory trifold cover and would it allow the cover to open more?

The tall rack also works with the factory cover, but it does not allow the cover to be opened at all with the rack in place. All access would have to be through the tailgate.

Which tailgate pad do you have, and does it allow use of your backup camera by flipping up, or folding under, the tailgate handle flap?

It's the Dakine one. I picked up the only one they had in Crested Butte. I was a little bummed when I found out they had ones with camera holes but it's not the end of the world. I only use it when carrying bikes and when off roading or on dirt roads I don't need a backup camera. AND I can just cut a hole in it if needed and sew it up if needed. I believe they charge more for pads with holes.

Photo 1: Myself and my buddies shuttling the 401 in Crested butte
Photo 2: Emergency situation for my buddy's bike on top of the bed when I thought his bike was on another truck. That mount in the bed is the Rocky Mounts axle mount. (I have more photos if needed). They're a Boulder company and I love it because you can lock the fork in there. The hitch rack is the OneUp. It folds up like in the 4th picture when not using it. I like the OneUp when I'm riding myself and I can keep the bed all locked up. I'm trying to figure out a way to mount the Rocky Mounts on top of the bed cover so it's on top instead of the back of the truck.
Photo 3: My buddy's North Shore Rack. It' awesome for carrying all your buddies, their bikes and all their gear with the full bed open.

The "unknown" rack is a North Shore rack. Pretty sweet stuff.

Hey quick question for you. With the 1up rack down, can the tail gate be lowered without touching the rack?

    Thanks

The lowered tailgate will not contact the single 1up in the down position, but it will if the 1up is folded up against the bumper.

On my Gen3 with factory hitch the tailgate comes close with the 1Up in the horizontal position. I don't really trust it. But it's easy to lower it one notch. With the rack all the way down, the tailgate clears two mounted 29-ers if you orient the crank of the closer bike appropriately. I have the 2 bike super duty rack.

I modified my 1up by creating a new mounting point for the hitch tongue crossbar about 2 inches up on the side plates. Now the rack clears the lowered tailgate in the up position and doesn't block as much of the license plate.

The tailgate, when lowered, will not contact the double bike 1up configuration either.

Are you talking about folding the front section of the cover backwards and then trying to put the bike on the Rocky Mount?

Yes! Just rotate the rack to its lowest position to drop the tailgate. Some people also drill new holes so you can keep the rack flat for the tailgate to drop. Just gotta remember to lower the rack before dropping the tailgate if you don't drill holes. I was going to but it's pretty easy the way it is.
